What always makes me angry about such memes is that "social construct" doesn't mean "non-existent". LOTS of things are social constructs, but they all do exist. For example a nation is definitely and undoubtedly a social construct, yet no one would dare to claim it's non-existent, because people use this category widely. I don't know how the hell it became synonymous.

Gender is biological and based in the sexual differentiation of your neurology, i.e. it's supposed to arise from your biological sex. Sometimes this goes wrong, as it does on a genetic or phenotypical level for intersex people, and then you get trannies.

It is not a social construct, and the people who say that are fucking retarded. Sex ROLES are, to an extent, socially constructed. But a lot of it is also behaviour we evolved to have.
