Well, Evolutionary speaking it makes sense that there are homosexuals.

The reason is this, Humans are a social species meaning that they are dependent on groups in order to keep themselves alive. If you take a human and isolate them then they become psychologically damaged. It is also nearly impossible for a human to survive on their own without the aid of fellow humans.

Furthermore we have something called sexual dimorphism, meaning that our males and females have different physical traits that are typical with their sex, I.E. Males typically are more rigid and have greater strength, where females are more round, and have greater perception of colors just to name a few differences.

In species with the characteristics labeled we have run into a problem. I.E. Since males have more strength they are more useful to keeping the community protected from harm among other things, males also have the capability of mating with multiple females which improves the chances of them spreading their genes. While females are more likely to reproduce than males, they cannot reproduce at the rate at which males can, and for this reason the evolutionary advantages of being a male are necessary to protect the species, yet you only really need one male child to reproduce rapidly to spread your genes.

This is the reason why there are gay people and why it is more common to find a gay male than a gay female, because the species needed strength but didn't need you to reproduce and fight for dominance. While ideally you would have just been a strong female so you can reproduce while maintaining your strength, evolution doesn't take the best path, only the easiest path. Meaning that so you don't get depressed and die because of that depression earlier on instead you are attracted to members of the same sex, and they are attracted to you.

Women aren't as strong as men because men were not able to dominate the females that were as strong as they were, and continued....

As for women, sexuality is the same kind of complexity but different.

Women are born typically Bisexual, and the reason for this is again evolution. Some males are more feminine and some are more masculine. This is because of genetic diversity and the fact that there are glitches. For her to get pregnant she wants to sleep with as many males as possible and will therefore be attracted to both genders.

Transsexual people are a different story. The easiest way to explain this is to direct you to look up hermaphrodites the reason is that it is essentially the same issue without the physical manifestation. There is something inherent to humans that makes them identify as one sex or another and transsexuals ended up with the opposite neurology to the physical form determined by their biology.

The concept of only one type of alphas only applies to other animals.
