Not really synonymous with mtf but alot traps end up becoming mtf. I don't feel any real way about the term desu. I'm not trying to trick anyone. I was completely upfront with my boyfriend about everything. Even traps don't usually actually "trap". It's just too dangerous.

that's true it's too risky. but if it's not synonymous how do u differentiate?

Traps are feminine men who want to dress like girls and get fucked in their bussy. They identify as men and live as men in their normal life usually.
Mtf are born as men but through whatever mechanism feel a sense of dissonance with their biological sex, so they take steps to, as much as possible, become like and live as the opposite sex. Mtf identify as female and want to actually be women.

I think it's an endearing term. I like it.
In a way being able to trap people can be seen as a positive light since it's kinda same as passing. But being referred to as a trap might be different. I'd probably be okay joking about it amongst friends but if some random person did it then I might be offended. It's weird since it could be used in a negative way but also in a positive way. For reference being called a tranny would be much worse. At least I feel tranny has a much more negative meaning to it.

Better than trans-woman, tranny or ladyboy...

but trap has been used so extensively on the internet/4chan its been 'semantically bleached' or had its meaning broadened

pretty sure traps are cis

yea, but it's more descriptive of what we are.
'tranny' is our word, let traps keep theirs
