I'm pretty sure women streaming popular games is just confirmation bias. Streaming women mostly do it because it's where the viewers are. Streamers are a small minority of overall gamers. Also the vast majority of women play only on mobile. Maybe if you looked at only PC gaming women the percentages would look different.

Cis woman representing, I like the genres that allow me to single-play and relax and have fun without any pressure for competition. I enjoy especially story-driven, character-focused games/genres. I have no interest in games that make playing a competition because that's just stressful and I already have plenty stress to deal with and I don't want any more.
