Why do queers smoke so much?

I started smoking when i had some sort of identity crisis around being trans-gendered (after reviewing my past and seeing i had all the signs and every-time someone confronted me about it, i booked it and never saw them again). So, after finally breaking down and accepting myself, i started smoking since-
>1. My life was basically over anyways, felt "liberated" by not repressing anymore
>2. I read you couldn't take hrt if your smoking because it'll kill you
>3. Probably the same reason a lot of bottoms smoke, oral fixation

I recently stopped but I hoped to develop cancer or any issues with meds that could end my life, like it "was an accident oh noes" to make it easier for my family. Many of us are depressed and a cig now and then really distracts and calms you down.
