It's Summer Games Done Quick 2017 (annual speedrunning charity event), and there are shitloads of transpeople involved. Tell me, /lgbt/, why are a disproportionate amount of streamers/speedrunners/geeks trans?

Trans people use addictions to relieve their distress. All addictions are progressive (you need more and more stimulus to numb yourself effectively).
So:
Normal people play with friends because they don't need to numb themselves. Addicts play video games to feel more excited and numb the pain. Post-escalation addicted people would lose interest in that, so only the overstimulation of speedrunning can soothe them.
