Passing/non-hon trans people are far less likely to have "pride" in it. It's something they want to move past. Something that's caused a lifetime of suffering for them, and they hate it, not love it. Hons, on the other hand, have no choice in the matter. They have to have pride in order to be accepted. They have no choice but to identify themselves as trans women permanently.

I went to a charity type thing, to do some volunteering to put on my resume and stuff. Also, I was a bit influenced by the fact that local trannies were prone to doing volunteering for some strange reason.

Now, I didn't know just how much of a charity style thing it was. That's what it was like, incredibly cryptic about its purpose. And basically, it amounted to an identity disorder support group. A way for blokes to pretend they're doing something useful, a way for them to pretend to be people who have futures and a place in the world. And I realized just what complete horrible people they are, and the sheer deviousness of the whole act for pretending they were anything but what they are. I'd be glad to have the observations from that experience, if, being such bastards, they didn't go out of their way to pull shit against me, and target me specifically.

Oh well, nyah, I guess I'm more cured than you people!

It really fucking stings because ... see, I had a social thing I used to go to, a LUG. Problem was, the charity-style identity disorder support group had it in their crosshairs and saw that as a resource pool for themselves to pick from, by moralistic-entitlement, and so they succeeded in thoroughly demolishing my ability to fit in there, on top of how fucked up they themselves were, because they expected to be my social thing.

And I do mean they were clinically fucked up, there was basically a manual for the crap going on with that bunch - personality disorder theory.
