I would MUCH rather be misgendered than asked what my pronouns are; it makes me feel like I have to explain myself. If some stranger calls me one thing then second guesses themselves, they usually apologize and I just go about my day. When "allies" force everybody to sit in a circle and introduce themselves / pick teams, I would rather leave. As an introvert, the last thing I want is attention.

So we should not do the "sitting in a circle sharing names and pronouns" thing? I thought it was pretty cool when I experienced it, but I guess it maybe should be avoided?
I don't really like misgendering people, so maybe I should just use "they" instead?
Would the situation be different if a considerable amount of people would be expected to be trans, like 1/4 - 1/3? Then you'd be part of a pretty major group, even if you are forced to expose your transness.

Are you a cis female?
I'd rather people ask. So fucking tired of "thank you sir" at work where I can't really correct them.

It's easy to pretend to be cis in those situations, so I don't really mind much. You just have to pretend you're new to the whole concept, and be like "what do you mean by pronouns?" or something like that.
For every one of you there's 5 older trans women who'll threaten corporate complaints on you if you don't repeatedly ma'am her.

To be fair, it probably doesn't work as well anymore. This was back when Occupy was happening when I would do this, trans stuff is probably too common knowledge now.
