My ex used to have those really severe ones you see on shock pictures and now he's very close to regular tier stretch marks even though he didn't even moisturize and has really dry skin

FYI those can be treated with high-waist pants. And low-waist pants are usually the cause of them. I noticed that I had huge gap on my hips where my jeans used to rest, and after I switched all my regular/low waisted jeans to high waisted ones my body shape went from beat-up soda bottle to an hourglass (Well, naturally thin waist helped also but with low/mid pants my figure was really bad)
