Insurance doesnt cover the doctors fees for deschamps, which I belive means it covers the "other costs" and not the actual procedures but its possible to be reimbursed by your insurance for the rest of the costs.

Speigel is okay if you dont want to have debt, he can compelety be covered by insurance, but remeber no type 3 and he is speigel and not daddy ^W~ I could see a reasonable compromise in spending more at deschamps and then getting the rest done for free with speigel if you can get coverage. I just want to give you a piece of advice, as someone who went to DB. DB's strength is that he does not give a cookie cutter look. The consultation is very long and you have plenty of time to talk to him. He encourages you to call whenever you want to talk about your upcoming procedure to discuss your surgery goals, and he writes it all down.

I find that if you aren't up-front about what you want, he will lean on the more conservative side. So if you want aggressive chin and jaw work, for example, you need to tell him that. Him and I agreed on going conservative in that department, and now I'm going back to him again next year to do the more aggressive work there that we should have done in the first place. He also suggested I didn't need a lip lift, but looking back, I do, so I'm also going to get that done.

Research the procedures, decide what you actually want, and make that clear to him. He takes notes on things you tell him so that he can give you want you want. If you seem hesitant or don't give much input, he will probably go more conservative like he did with me, and now I have to go back.

Great surgeon though. Glad I chose him, just wish I had been more clear about what I wanted. But, he's cool and is going to do it free of charge since I'm not satisfied with where my original surgery got me.

I suspect the camera is fucking you somewhat, but you really should have been told to get maxillofacial surgery before getting any other facial surgery. A maxillary impaction and probably a CCW rotation could have really reduced the perceived length of that midface. I mean, it's not essential, but if you really want to maximise your appearance for the long term, it might be worth still looking into it (although some of your implants might need to come out. if you had any put in).

Alternatively, facial team should have really told you to stick some big motherfucking custom cheek implants in, and situated them quite low, since the anterior projection would give the illusion of a shorter midface. This could be done with minimal consequence to your other surgeries now if you wanted.

My previous endo treated many transpeople for decades in the Chicago area. When I first started with him, I expressed my intention to get FFS. He told me I didn't need it but conceded that the tracheal shave was a good idea. His reasoning was that he'd seen many people (both trans and not) get addicted to plastic surgery and go too far.

He wrote down the name of a doctor he recommended, a Dr. Konior in the Chicago area. There is very little info on him and only one RealSelf review https://www.realself.com/find/Illinois/Facial-Plastic-Surgeon/Raymond-Konior Googling his name makes it appear he's just doing hair stuff now. Unfortunately my doctor had to discontinue his practice due to being very old and on death's door, so I can't follow up with him on the reasoning for his referral or see if he was thinking of someone else.

That was my first post on the subject of FFS. There's an entire subset of Maxfac and even craniofacial surgeons that now only do private work. If you're this fucking ignorant, then you can't possibly have done any actual research into cosmetic surgery. Even Yaremchuk is a maxfac. Jesus, Deschamps is a fucking maxfac. Here's a tip: If you have a long face, you probably have a jaw malocclusion of some kind. Human faces aren't supposed to be long. If they are, it's almost always because there's some degree of growth disturbance, and they're fixable the vast majority of the time.

I got a jaw width reduction from Dr. Bensimon. He didn't really accomplish much. He is really nice though. I recommend going to Dr. Harrison Lee, and getting each surgery one at a time. First brow, then jaw. Then anything else from non-tranny specialists.

But they don't perform Maxfac surgery on FFS patients. They assume that if a tranny goes to them, they're there for a typical FFS overhaul, and they wouldn't be interested in maxfac, even if that's the best way to achieve good, long term results. Most people aren't even aware maxfac is an option. If you go to a regular maxfac surgeon that isn't primarily known among trannies for FFS (they can still do FFS, but if it's a significant part of their typical procedural list for the year, then they should be avoided), explain to them that you currently are/are planning to transition to female, then they'll give you the best foundation upon which to build with future surgeries (surgeries concerning facial features ie. lip lifts, eyes etc.), which again should not be performed by FFS surgeons. FFS surgeons missed the boat on some underlying principles which now separate the minority of good surgeons who continuously achieve outstanding results, and the vast majority who achieve underwhelming or overzealous results.

Look at it this way. If a cis female was born with a long philtrum and narrow lips (ie. a masculine lip area), do you think she'd go to an FFS surgeon to fix it? No, she'd go to a surgeon who is experienced in lip lifts, and knows how to make girls look good. A transitioning tranny should be treated exactly the same as a cis girl who happened to be born with masculine features.

I'm in the same boat OP I'll have about 22,200 saved up in the next year. I'll be getting my surgeries spaced out cause for what I can tell getting them all at once is a really bad idea. I need jaw work like desperately someone once told me I don't need full ffs but I think they were hug boxing me bad. That being said I'm pretty clueless about what to get. Cosmetic surgeons don't care about your gender or sexual orientation. If you have the money, and you can prove that you're physically healthy enough, and emotionally and mentally stable enough, to have surgery without flying off the handle and suing the shit out of them if you're not happy with the results, then they'll carry out the surgery as if you were anyone else. Rhinoplasty, cheek augmentation (probably with orbital rim augmentation, or at the very least, vertically long cheek implants that can add volume under the eyes and still fill out the mid malar area (on the cheek side of the nasolabial fold)), lip lift (desperately), chin smoothing/rounding (I wouldn't fuck with your jaw personally), and possibly some minor eye reshaping work (but you would need to see someone who is VERY experienced in oculoplastic surgery).

1. Go to a reputable surgeon instead of a fucking meme surgeon. Look at their work. Look at their qualifications and experience. Do they use computer imaging? Do they have the communication and interpersonal skills to fully grasp what it is you want to achieve? 2. Research. Finding a cosmetic surgeon isn't exactly difficult. People find surgeons they like in countries on the other side of the world, where very few people even speak the same language, such is the power of the internet. Surgeons aren't hiding. There's also ways to verify surgeons are members of boards and colleges that they proclaim to be members of, and that they received training they allege to have received. And of course, customer reviews are easier to come across now than they ever have been before.

3. Well, given that FFS can determine whether or not life is worth living for some people, if the surgeries mean enough to you, you'll find the money. You get what you pay for. You'd gladly spend a few hundred thousand on a house, but I would say that your face is a bigger determiner of quality of life than what house you live in or what car you drive.

You don't need to see evidence of a tranny specifically. Once you understand a few key aspects of aesthetics and cosmetic surgery, it becomes easy to apply those principles to any situation. A tranny is no different to a manly looking cis girl. Like I said before, a long philtrum is a long philtrum whether you're male or female. The method of successfully addressing that long philtrum doesn't change whether you're male or female, just like the treatment for a broken arm doesn't change whether you're male or female.

That's actually a better picture to work with. Your jaw is square, but that isn't inherently unfeminine. It's more of a classical feature (ie. keira knightley, natalie portman), I would be very surprised if HRT didn't soften the gonial angle, given enough time, to the point where surgery is unnecessary. If it doesn't soften it enough, then by all means get some VERY subtle tapering done. IMO, the priority is to reduce the width of the chin and round it off (but again, this should be subtle).

High cheekbones is actually something of a masculine trait (depending on the shape of the cheekbones). Women's cheekbones tend to either start lower or just extend lower on the face, giving more anterior prominence in the lower part of the midface. Your cheekbones aren't terrible from a transition perspective by any means, but, given that you are transitioning, you should be striving for unmistakably female features, rather than somewhat feminine features, to obviously contribute to the overall transition and draw attention away from other things (voice etc.). That's why FFS is so important. Plus, you wanna end up pretty, not just female, and very gender specific features always increase overall attractiveness.

From this picture, I actually think your eyes might be fine. It was probably an issue of lighting in the other picture. They've got a good canthal tilt, they're open, and relatively large, which is important for a square female face. I know what you mean about the lip lift thing, but you're just gonna have to find someone with good befores and afters. Because a good lip lift is honestly make or break for your face.

Overall though, you've got a LOT of potential, and your surgeries are for the most part pretty straight forward. You could end up not just passable, but attractive.

I had a maxillofacial consult before going to FT, same things were recommended and FT had better results in their before/after photos. I have a few complications that you're unaware of as well.

I also had consults with 5 different surgeons other than FT, and the only one that recommended what you're talking about was Dr. Spiegel...but he also recommended every procedure under the sun and didn't come across like a person who cared about his patients.
