You're supposed to be "open to procreation", the unstated subtext being 'open to procreation using what you have.' An infertile man/woman having sex with their normal, married catholic partner would be doing their best with what they have, and are aiming for a child, even if that's not likely due to infertility.

I, however, am taking pills that get rid of my ability to have kids, voluntarily becoming infertile (in the eyes of the church anyways). That cuts me off from Catholic procreation, even if I wish I could have a procreational vagina.

Sexuality is a gift, given for the purpose of multiplication, so we can raise more people in the light of God's saving grace. Even if I was holy enough to raise people to be good Catholics, I am not holy enough to have children the way the Church wants. Even *if* I repented of my transgenderism, I can't reverse the effects of HRT.

As for why I can't be married, the Catholic Church only supports marriage between normal, cisgender individuals who are "open to conception" and who fit in with God's plan of human multiplication. Also either sex could be viewed as homosexual for me. And since I'm transgender I can't even be properly given the Most Holy Sacrament, much less one like marriage. Every single possible reason prevents me from being married how I want to be.

In short everything I believe tells me no. It makes me miserable and lonely but the alternative is being an amoral sex freak and purposeless heathen SJW like the girls I went to college with. No thank you. I'd rather wallow in misery near to God's light than totally reject it and run away to Satan.

Sorry if I'm rambling, it's an extremely mind numbingly complicated subject and I've had a few drinks.

Sorry but I can't support Blaire so long as she's against early transitioning. I hate Muslims who are genocidal fundamentalist maniacs, but I can't say I hate all of them, there are some Muslims who are alright people no matter how small of a minority they are. I just haven't had breast augmentation yet, I've never had the opportunity to and even if I did I'm not sure if I'd go through with it, I was lucky and got pretty good results from hormones alone.

What do you base that on? As a young adolescent I read that the Catholic Church's stance is that SRS was not enough to change the gendered nature of the soul/individual. So you are considered to be male as far as the Church is concerned. Pope Francis doesn't seem interested in changing that judgment either. So it seems a relationship with a woman would still be considered "heterosexual" for you. But supposing you were right, would a transbian relationship be doubly homosexual and a relationship with an FtM be heterosexual?

shouldn't that rule out adoption? my grandparents are extremely devout catholics who adopted my father and aunt due to infertility, and this was in the 70s when i assume things would be even stricter than today (although adoption was *much more common* from about the 1940s-1980s than it is today), but they adopted through a specifically catholic agency from a catholic couple

if you're trying to reproduce with the hopes that god will bless you with a biological child, adoption could be constructed as disobeying his will -- if you were meant to have kids you would have been the one in a thousand/ten thousand/million who has them despite your condition, as opposed to adopting someone else's children
obviously there are people who follow the religion and that commandment but don't take it to that conclusion, but i'd expect adoption in catholicism to be more controversial than what i've seen of it

Personally, I believe a desire for medical transition is of course required, but if you're too poor/scared of being a hon/unlucky enough to have some sort of medical issues preventing hormone therapy, and as such haven't gone through with it, then I can't hold it against you.
