I think Theryn Meyer is a pretty good trans icon. She was the transwoman I looked to and realised that transwomen can be normal women. Which then made me realise there is another option, which made me stop repressing. I mean, I've known I was trans since I was four, but crushing dysphoria didn't really start to hit till like 16/17. The fact of the matter is early transitioners experience transition in a completely different way than young adult transitioners (god I sound like fucking Cara), but that doesn't automatically invalidate their overall trans identity.

Also, when she talked about not experiencing dysphoria on her podcast, she was referring to the fact that she didn't relate to the emotions and experiences of her trans friends. She never grew facial hair, her voice never deepened, she wasn't rejected by her family, she overall had nothing in common with the trans women she encountered, and thus felt alienated from their emotional states, thus why she's talked about not having traditional forms of gender dysphoria, at least when compared to your average trans woman.
