Like, obviously traditional families aren't going nowhere. Most people are straight(ish) and cis. Hell, most people are actually still religious.

LGBT will never be mainstream. That's fine.

But the amount of bullshit LGBT people face on a day-to-day basis needs to stop. Trans health care needs to be more readily available. Discrimination against MtF's especially is horrid.

It's not okay to mistreat people who are 'weird', and asking abuse to stop is reasonable.

It's hard not to be a nationalist when you went through highschool as a queer teenager in an area with a high population of hispanic immigrants and a lot of hispanic culture. It has nothing to do with races or borders or anything, it has to do with the fact that western culture started figuring out how to be decent to people who happen to be different a lot sooner than everyone else, and until other cultures can figure that out they should stay home, we don't need them in our country hurting our women or queer people with their blatant homophobia and sexism.
