I think you overestimate how much pitch is the manly thing, I know someone (who does not post anymore) who can easily drop her pitch into the male range and her voice still sounds like a pre-t ftm. Besides you don't really do it by accident anyways you have to go out of your way to do it and it sounds p unnatural.
Regardless though, try training first, you really don't want to risk losing your voice or getting the raspy/hon voice if you don't have to.

I personally think it's patronizing to tell someone who is struggling with their voice to "just train harder". Marina isn't Kayla, she clearly put a lot of effort into her transition, I support her decision to get surgery if she feels that she can't get anything more out of voice training. this voice surgery demonization needs to end, sure it used to be bad but that goes for all surgery, things improve over time.

That's what I saw as well, which is why I was gonna get it to fix my resonance (my pitch is actually ironically good) but /mtfg/ swears it only raises pitch. I think that Yeson is maybe using some new method that does improve resonance as well as pitch and /mtfg/ is just stuck in the past. I'll do more research on it, it's really a lot more advanced than /mtfg/ claims.

I was considering setting up a business doing that because I have a 3D scanner however, a) /mtfg/ wasn't interested b) I don't know how to use Autodesk Maya in order to carry out the "virtual surgery" myself, it was a guy I knew but he left town c) it would be more convenient if it can be done from pictures, I spent most of 2013 trying to stitch pictures of a human head together into a 3D mesh but I could never get it right.
