Currently on the waiting list for Leeds GIC, and I have been for about a year. I'm 18 and, preferably, I'd like to at least get on T blockers while I wait, so that as much body development as possible is paused until I attend regular sessions.
Problem is, I'm not exactly sure how. Which would be the wisest option for me; buy them online (DIY), ask for GP prescription or just wait until the appointment?
>>8287527
>or just wait until the appointment?
NO
I have no motivation for my final exams.

Going through a couple weeks of torture is well worth it for the rest of your life. Do well here and you'll do well for the next 50ish years.
>>8287583
Any other britlgbters came out (relatively) later in life?
I'm still scared of exploring my sexuality, I've spoken to a fair few guys online but I always chicken out/doesn't feel "right" (I'm a bicurious guy, 23)

I'm from Leeds !!!

>>8287851
Farnley, pretty close, decent area.
Still pretty cool, never thought I'd see another person from Leeds on here of all places.
>>8287867
Yeah especially not on Lgbt, and I`ve only ever been to Roundhay park but it seems pretty posh desu
>>8287851
It sucks that there's no closer GICs. All the good shit is in/near London and its bloody annoying.
>>8287847
I've only been to Leeds once, and that was when I was visiting a relative when I was like 5. The screening appointment had the option of either over the phone or in person, and even though I hate using the phone it would be a lot better than having to drag my way into Leeds.
>>8287873
Meh it's not All that posh, I do live next to the park though, good place to walk my dog. Do you have a discord?
>>8287879
Ahh, I see, well you should come over more often, it's got a great nightlife. and Bradford is only next door so decent food over there too. Also hope your appointments and stuff go well :)
>>8287701
Exact boat same age and all
>>8287701
Also 23 and the exact same situation. Still a Virgin because it's just never felt right.
Definitely sexual lying attracted to people but never felt the desire to pursue it.
Scotland checking in.
20 year old mtf here, I've been self medding for roughly 7 months and have been on the waiting list for Nottingham GIC for a year and 8 months now.
My GP even contacted them to see what was going on because it was taking so long.
Is there anyone else here that's had to wait this long, or longer?
Also can anyone who has had experience with the Nottingham clinic tell me what it's like and what to expect?
Thanks for any replies.
>>8289711
I had a friend in Nottingham who was with them, she only had to wait 4 months though, and she lived there at the time.
I could try get in contact with her again, last I heard she was studying at the uni there.
You got some contact info? Or a throwaway that you'll be able to check regularly?
>>8290323
Does living nearby push you up the waiting list?
>>8290349
I'm not really sure, but I assume so, I mean it would make sense. I'm not Trans, just a regular guy, had a Trans friend but that's as far as my knowledge really goes. Sorry :(
Any other worthless neets waking up well into the afternoon?
>without an adorable bf I might add...
>>8290379
That's pretty unfair considering the size of the areas these places cover. People might choose a uni to be close or get ahead by using a friend's address if they have one nearby.
>>8290385
I think that's a reason why she's there, though I'm not entirely sure, I'll have to get in touch with her again and ask.
>>8290380
Not a neet, woke up a while ago. But we both have in common not waking up beside a cute bf/gf. Life is suffering
>>8290395
If you do please post in a UK thread here so we all know how it works.
>>8290399

Yet on a letter they sent me it said in excess of two years is the normal now

>>8287701
Only discovered I WAS bi when I was your age. There's still time, especially if you consider that finding a cute guy is your only hope if you don't get a wife by 30.
>>8287396
What's the fun in being an adorable kittyboy if you don't have laps to sit in to be petted?
Any southeast/M4 corridor people here?
>>8290380
Nah. Got back from work about an hour ago, though.
>>8287527
so my gp in leeds refused to prescribe hrt at all, i ended up getting prescriptions directly from an endocrinologist after seeing the GIC. but that was a very long wait. try talking to gps, show them the interim guidelines that suggest bridging hormone prescritions. But don't get your hopes up. If you decide to self med then try and find a gp who will ast least do blood tests for you

Shittons. Some old airfields still have explosives buried under them for in case of invasion. They discovered one while expanding an airport a few years ago; everything around had to be stopped so they could remove a few tons of boom from it.
>>8296449

But maybe we can include it in brexit negotiations, or discreetly include it in import taxes on german cars.
>>8296463
>But maybe we can include it in brexit negotiations
Or use it as a retort for them. Greece tried to demand German compensation for Nazi crimes during the euro bailouts.
>>8296476
The problem is that demanding excessive compensation for war damages is what caused WW2. Making the germans pay for what happened to France and Belgium ruined their economy and allowed Hitler into power.
As for Greece, since they were lent money the EU borrowed from british banks, maybe we can repossess the rest of the Parthenon friezes.

GP won't give them to you; that's why you're at the clinic in the first place. Self-med. Especially at your age you can't afford to wait.
When I went to Leeds they wasted a lot of time, both in unnecessary appointments and waits between appointments. They also said they rarely give you HRT without requiring real life experience first, though I don't know how much of that is because of the proportion of older transitioners or people with less severe or more questionable dysphoria. I was 20 and they didn't make me do it. The endocrinologist was pretty good though.
Do you have a reason to not just take oestrogen too if you were to self-med? If you're going there with the intention of getting HRT anyway you must be confident enough it's what you want.
>>8302197
Yes me.

I kinda feel like part of the reason I want to go is because you're supposed to want to go to pride. I get really bad mental illness symptoms and feel like I wanna puke just thinking about it desu
>>8314935
Well, I'm not a qt or a she, but I can be supportive if you'll be tolerant of me needing to take breaks from the crowds and the noise.
It's raining.

Disgusting.

>>8315602
Sweet deal, I'd send cock pics too if a gay mate set me up
>>8286049
Bye
What do you guys use for hookups and/or finding relationships? Craigslist doesn't seem as popular here as it used to be, it's just disgusting old guys now.

In the closet myself so I don't have much experience with it but from what I know, the city is very gay friendly. Apart from the odd comment or look which you get pretty much anywhere it's pretty much a case of people not caring who you want to fuck.
I hear Polo is really good though. Plenty of straight people go, some of my friends included.
>>8315908
sent you an email
>>8315974
Oh and "reward required", don't forget that one.
>>8315974
how have you not heard of grindr?
>>8316482
grindr is shit
i now have a bf
>>8314983
That sounds good. Where are you at?
>>8317232
good for you
Will anyone be my bf? I'm shy and gay.

Near Reading. London's an hour away by train for me.
This website just makes me depressed. How do I get rid of it?

>tfw you go to /pol/ to laugh at Indians but end up listening to Mosley speechs on youtube and reading all the party manifestos and deciding the CON one is probably the best of the lot
I think I'm becoming dangerously right wing
How the fuck do you reconcile that with being gay and from a very liberal background?
>>8311371
the sad is she'll still win. she could stand on a platform of slaughtering every tenth born puppy and she'd still win because the establishment media (which they collude with) will spin what they say and back them no matter what.
>>8311371
>Independent quoting buzzfeed quoting anonymous sources within the Tory party
I'll wait for an actually reputable source to pick this up, remember when she was apparently going to ban a whole load of different kinds of porn?
>>8320081
if your /pol/ browsing reactionary filth. here:
https://www.infowars.com/theresa-may-wants-govt-to-create-new-regulated-internet/
if that's still not good enough for you how about their actual manifesto:
https://s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/manifesto2017/Manifesto2017.pdf
pages 81 and 84
>>8320117
I'm not /pol/ browsing reactionary filth and I've already read the manifesto
The independent has a history of blowing things out of proportion, distorting facts and relying on weak sourcing, like Buzzfeed
Remember they were screaming their heads off that May was going to ban facesitting porn, BDSM and female ejaculation yet three years later all of these can be viewed freely on the internet

I want to scream. Grindr is garbage, clubs etc are full of std ridden whores, and no one on this site ever wants to actually date. what do I do to get a gf? The last person I liked I just happened to know all my life.
>>8318241
Man that sucks, I'm in Newcastle/Durham area.
Anyone else in the north east?

Lurk here. Hopefully you'll find one eventually.
I think I have.
>try to join TCG group in London
>They're all straight so I can't really identify with them and can't be friends
Sad :( is this a problem with me or do other people find it hard to make new friends in straight people?
>>8326194
It's a problem with you. Sexuality is only one aspect of a person. It's not the only identifying factor which determines how two people will get on.
It's like me finding it difficult to be friends with someone because I like meat and they don't. Find other things in common.
>>8326208
I feel like that might be part of it but when they started talking about their fucking girlfriends I was far gone so I don't know.
Sure your sexuality doesn't define you but it plays a very big part of being able to connect with others the same with race and gender
>>8326194
You can still be their friend, but you probably wanted to meet someone
>iktf though, no bf to play yugioh with
>>8326208
>It's like me finding it difficult to be friends with someone because I like meat and they don't
To be fair, some vegetardians are just cunts. Pretty much all vegans are.

General election anxiety: I can't vote for anyone. Conservatives will kill the NHS, Corbyn will run the country into the ground and Lib Dems are right back to not having a clue how to function. My choices are to support a megalomaniac or a series of useless twats.
Wat do?
>>8326560
Labour will murder the economy.
Conservatives won't kill the NHS, that's just commie lies.
What does 'connection error' mean?
>>8326513
>Mtg
>Not Arkham Horror TCG, Jyhad or Netrunner
Stay pleb sweetie ;^)
>>8326580
>What does 'connection error' mean?
Either 4chan is having issues or your internet is. If 4chan is it can at worst mean nobody can make new posts for hours.
>>8326580
>Conservatives won't kill the NHS
Considering the NHS are against their best interests I dont know what you mean
>>8326513
eh it's my game
>>8326560
I'm also incredibly jaded with politics, I doubt any of them will cause anything catastrophic
I'll probably vote labour though
>>8326580
>What does 'connection error' mean?
your pc is kill
>>8326560
The Tories are shit as usual but never vote left-wing.
>>8286049
>Conservatives won't kill the NHS, that's just commie lies.
Except Jeremy Hunt exists, so it's an entirely reasonable assumption to make.
Riddle me this, why aren't any of the parties increasing tax for those of us earning over 30k? I could stand to lose like £5 off my paycheck each month if it meant saving public education and healthcare.
>>8326952
Why are you listening to the greens and labour?
Also, it wouldn't be £5. It'd be £5000. Otherwise, NOTHING is stopping you paying more tax than you need to. It's perfectly legal. Tried donating to your local NHS trust?
However, for those of us on 15K a year, Labour would also take £5k a year off us, and then promptly tax our employers out of business.
>>8327001
Ever since the coalition I've been paying £600 less in tax per year. As someone earning well over average, that just shouldn't be happening in the midst of public funding cuts.
Fuck labour and the greens, but there shouldn't be something preventing those earning above average contributing more to society.
>>8326421
I wish I had someone to play Yugioh with.
>>8327165
Yeah, but I'VE been paying £600 a year less in tax, despite my wages having gone up £3k in the last few years.
The point is that if you have more money, you spend it on things., and pay tax on that, then people get taxed on their income for having sold it to you, and so forth.
Feeling lonely and need a bf to cuddle
>>8328098
Got kik? and what are ur stats?
>>8327176
Such a meetup would probably turn into a gay british orgy in the shadow realm
>>8328098
same
>>8328213
you say that like its a bad thing
>>8328098
I'm up for cuddling, but not sure on the boyfriend thing.
Right Lgbt, I have no idea about politics so help me decide my vote
I hate lazy fucks
Although I'm against Brexit, I don't think we should go back on it
I hate any form of censorship and nanny state
Who do I vote for? Also, has any party said anything about trannies specifically?
>>8328707
Vote Labour this time, just because the meme magic is with them this time. Fuck the issues.
>>8328707
Vote Labour if you want to continue using 4chan in the next 5 years and like porn
Vote Cons if the opposite
>>8328707
Vote Labour if you another Manchester every month.
>>8330855
Manchester happened under a Con government in hung parliament though
Westminister attacks happened under Cons
Whats your point
>>8330869
Which party is more sympathetic to the attackers?
>>8330875
Considering neither has made a statement that's not even an argument
I would also say that Labour aren't naturally more sympathetic to the attackers but instead understand that they've essentially been brainwashed at a core level. Which is harrowing when you actually think about it.
But by all means vote Con and get further police funding cuts
>>8328230
Sounds like my kind of shadow game.
>finally YOLO and start talking to my crush
>the more I have contact with him the more I feel like I'm damaged goods
I'm moving away from a shithole country but events like the one from today just seem to prove my point.
>>8330881
>but instead understand that they've essentially been brainwashed at a core level.
I can understand why that's relatable to Corbynistas.
>>8330898
You could at least try if you're just gonna bait
>>8330855
This. Labour are culpable for terrorist attacks because they DO NOT FIX THINGS.
Corbyn is a fucking pacifist who LOVES Islamic terrorists. He wants to bring them all here to live in peace and harmony and Sharia law for everyone.
>>8328707
"hate lazy fucks"
Don't vote labour then.
