Something like 3-5% of males are AGP and less than 1% of males transition. So definitely more "cis" people, although that doesn't mean they won't have problems with their assigned gender eventually.

TGTF is the single biggest theme in EGS after magical powers. Elliot as well as involuntarily gender bending and an opposite sex clone Ellen, the very overt author insert Tedd is massively themed around gender bending and is also considering if he's trans, and recently introduced characters include an extremely androgynous boy and a girl with an obsession with gender bending from watching too much Ranma 1/2.

I never really met or talked to him. He worked hard, and did good work, but did not seem very social. He usually seemed kinda grumpy and quiet, so I wouldn't doubt the possibility that he had issues eating at him.

That was 8 years ago now, so I have no idea how he's changed since then. I'm happy for him that his comic has become so popular and hopefully, maybe, he's making a living off of something he enjoys(?).

It's entirely possible some people find TG or trans material thought provoking and worth writing about without being trans.

We were in Graphic Design, he did some illustrated stuff (movie posters) I think is buried way in his DeviantArt page now. Like I said, he was very earnest in his work and had a far better work ethic than many of our classmates, though it's fairly obvious he was more cut out for cartooning than traditional graphic design.

I hope he's able to make a living off his comic/stuff he enjoys. I would be very sad to know that he's unhappy. But his proliferation of comics and artwork would seem to imply he's got some positivity in spirit. He's doing better than me in my depression hole, not doing any personal artwork aside from the soulless crap clients dictate.

Because at a community college, a lot of the Graphic Design students were just talentless hipsters and/or people with no serious commitment, making the kind of garbage that you'll find in /gd/. Dan's good at comics, but even his conventional graphic design work had that sort of aesthetic, which is hard to find demand for in a professional setting. I dunno, he could be doing it as a day job for all I know. It's been almost 8 years
