But the key thing is don't eat a meal until you specifically get that hormonal signal from your body that says "I'm hungry." In between if you need something to chew on, grab an apple or banana or green veg (not tuber) or roughage at most once an hour, or a tiny portion of said office cake, until you get to your proper healthy weight.

At that point, as long as free office food isn't daily, you can not stress over it and just readjust how much dinner you cook.

And remember with cooking meals for one, if your portion size is too low you can supplement with a bowl of frozen veg or the fruit thing (the basic fruits and veg are ridiculously cheap if you stick to the basics, and ridiculously good if you know how to season), and if you make the portion to big, just adjust for it by delaying your meal with your next "I'm hungry" signal. But remember to have a snack food (one fruit/veg piece) at the same time every day at your "three meals a day" times so your body knows to sorta adjust for that too.

Specifics examples? I'm not sure that I could point ot one specific product from another, most of the work I have gotten implemented are enviromental assets and prop art, but the final version has never been my specific sketches. We have professional artists for that.

The most recent was a couple of market stalls and buildings based on medieval france that I wasn't personally very satisfied with and didn't really get why he thought it was a better idea in comparison to other peoples work. In that specific example we were 3 people prototyping and sketching individually.

As for the building.
We didn't own it all from the get go. The area my wife works in is what we call a "half basement" pic example (I don't know how common it is outside Scandinavia and Germany). Our building is roughly the same amount of floors as pic, just minus the rooftop space, we have an attic. We purchased the apartments in the middle and top floor when we moved to Hamburg, the top floor already had a renting occupant who stayed for another half year and we just chose to keep renting it out.

Now, the two bottom floors were owned by another dude. He had a guitar shop in the basement and he lived on floor 1.
When he moved to the US he offered the place to us at a 15% price reduction if we'd go for the deal right away, sight unseen.

My wife wasn't having any luck finding a job so it was my suggestion that she open her own gallery in the basement area and we would expand our apartment to downstairs which allowed room for an office, a expanded kitchen and rooms for eventual children.
