I'm surrounded by "married" gay couples and not a single one of them have adopted children or express any interest in doing so. Now there's gonna be legislative elections in a month or two that'll determine if Macron will get a cooperating government or not (unlikely that his own party, En Marche, will get a majority).

I think Le Pen is a lot worse than just "refusing to bake a cake". I don't know the specifics but I hear lots of people saying stuff like "Trump isn't anywhere near being a fascist, that's just a meme, but Le Pen literally IS a fascist". Of the two, Macron is obviously the one who's going to be more okay with Muslim immigration, but he's a centrist moderate, only "leftist" by American standards. And the guy he's replacing is a literal socialist, so if anything you'll probably see less of "leftist agendas" under Macron.
