See, you have an actual condition, it's not an excuse. Every fat slob (read: NOT PEOPLE WITH DIAGNOSED CONDITIONS) has excuses WHY he or she can't lose the weight. Once they run out of excuses out comes the 'thyroid' trump card like it suddenly excuses their eating habits and sedentary lifestyle.

Are you taking levothyroxine/synthroid for your condition? If not, consider seeing your physician for a prescription. My sister had a hypothryoid condition (no weight gain but she did contract jaundice) she got on levothyroxine and it cleared up.
