I've been dating a guy for about three and a half years now and over the weekend, he admitted to me that he sometimes identifies as a woman. Looking for suggestions on how to make this easier for him to feel comfortable exploring his fem side. I just wanna be a supportive gf. Thanks

He "sometimes identifies" as a woman? How did he figure that one out?
Buy a shotgun.
Honestly, I'm not even sure. I just want him to feel comfortable, you know?

If you have a throwaway email I'll send you my opinion oh how to help.
Thank you for trying to be understanding and helpful to him.
seems like a pretty easy thing to deal with; just help him explore his femme side as he wishes.
Also help him kill Cis-Scum

take him shopping for women's clothes. men tend to feel super uncomfortable in the womens section unless accompanied by a woman.

I asked him if he wanted to go shopping with me and he said he'd rather have me go for him rn. All I've gotten him so far are some women's pjs

I'm honestly trying. Luckily I'm pansexual so it didn't make me question my sexual orientation.

Online shop with him at least

Yeah we have done that. We're moving into our own apartment in a couple of months so I think he'll feel more comfortable soon expressing himself. For now he wants to keep this secret.

This article actually was pretty helpful. Thanks

We're not quite sure if he is trans. I have a mtf trans friend who suggested maybe he was but when I asked him, he said he didn't think he was.

It's the same sexuality. Being trans a matter of how strong it is, how it affects him and his life as a guy, and how he feels about it. The rest of that site might be helpful for both of you, in particular the FAQ for him.

Alright thanks. I'll have him check out this thread later.

Just dropping in to say that the AGP dichotomy is not considered seriously outside of the conservative fringe. It has been rejected for lack of explanatory power, insufficient evidence, and cherry-picked evidence.
The alternative (as opposed to self-attraction towards a hypothetical female self) mechanism for transsexualism provided by its creator, Ray Blanchard, is that feminine transsexuals transition to more effectively attract straight men.
There is a more detailed summation here:

Well that would explain why I've never heard of the term "AGP" before, considering I'm moderately liberal. Thanks for adding your input
