But that isn't true. I found out I was gay in 6th grade. I began puberty and jerked off to straight porn. I would watch one type and it would get me off because it was erotic, but it would get boring after a time and hard to get off to. I'd switch to hentai and the same thing would happen. Eventually I ended up watching twinks fuck and came to that. I thought it would be the same sort of thing where it would get hard to get off to but it just never happen and I haven't gotten bored of it since.

It's not just consistent among men across all human societies, it's even persistent and has been observed in males across many different animal species.

Coming back to the original question what causes homosexuality? My idea is that nature is simply keeping itself in check and balance.

A similar question could be, why are a small minority but consistent number of women/females lesbian and attracted to their own gender? Or why are a small minority but consistent number of people naturally infertile and unable to reproduce offspring, irrespective of their own sexual orientation?

I was raised by a single mom and never knew my dad, so that doesn't explain me at least.

How many gays here feel being gay was a choice? Personally, I was always attracted to men. But I swept that urge under the rug and still get raging boners just looking at girls, so I'm not sure where I'm at anymore. It feels like I chose a life of being straight

So anything that would cause a lack of testosterone within the female body could increased the chances of giving birth to a homosexual male child.
