Do some research on gay-group-activites in your area. I'm talking about gay softball teams, gay bowling, gay line-dancing, gay dancing lessons or dancing lessons in general. Gaymer groups, gay board game nights with people or events.

Also, grindr and gay bars are what you make of it. If you don't want to have sex, let it be known and try to find like-minded people. Just because you're on grindr doesn't mean you're obligated to have sex. Or just because you go to a gaybar doesn't mean you haveta hook up with someone.

It sounds hard and it will be but it will also help get you out of your shell and meet people. Hopefully, you can get lucky and meet some non-catty non-druggy non-sluts non-backstabby fags. May the odds be ever in your favor

If OP then what else do you want. Those are your options. Gay apps, gay bars or gay group activities.

The gay group activities will most likely be all cringe but you might find someone or a few people you click with more and then that can segway into doing other stuff or meeting more people. They can have house parties (which you should go to) and you can meet more people you might click with. Rinse repeat

The only way to meet people is to do shit and put yourself out there.
