Actually I use both 4chan and tumblr. And rebbit occasionally.

I come to 4chan because I have been on this stupid website for 12 years now. It's an addiction even though I don't really care for it much anymore. I'll be happy once it's gone. I've watched it get more and more political over the years and I've been ready for it to die since like 2008.

I didn't know about tumblr or reddit until they became the enemy of the month on fourchan dot com however many years ago but I like both of them. I'm from the era of bulletin boards and forums and such, 4chan is neat because it's anonymous and I like the image posting format but it's really got nothing special that I care about. Reddit is lame and boring but people are less tryhard there and stay on topic in their forums at least. And tumblr has funnier posts than 4chan these days, if you ask me anyway.

Overall, forming some kind of loyalty for a particular website and believing that everyone on it is a united hivemind is stupid.

The free speech and (or Freeze Peach in Tumblr language) probably did as much for young people finding their sexuality as it did for young people finding out their political orientation. That's a fallacy. 4chan likely contains more literal neo-Nazis and literal pedophiles than other mainstream platforms (though some parts of Reddit are similarly questionable if not equally bad or worse due to higher organized nature), but a significant portion of the website is either opposed to them or just silent about such topics.

As far as I understand tumblr's LGBT user-base consists primarily of young naive liberals who don't really know much about politics and just get hyper-attached to the latest (neo)liberal trend.
Reddit has diverse subreddits with different sizes and demographics. You have to be more precise if you're suggesting one as an alternative.

Depends on the subreddit. /r/theredpill and similar subreddits are highly popular and are simply less trollish and more "serious" versions of /pol/.

If anyone knows a website with the advantages of 4chan that I listed in the first part of my post, and yet less disadvantages, tell me pls.
