I guess I might be kinda sorta in a similar situation as you. I've kinda thought about it my whole life and as time has gone on it became an obsession. I really do think about it almost all day everyday now. I would love to know if you decide to transition because that would be my cue to do the same.

Really, both of you should look into your pasts and see if you can find any symptoms of gender dysphoria, doesn't have to be all of them.
I definitely have but I am Captain Represso but its resurfaced lately

I think I have some symptoms but it's by no means bad and usually it comes and goes. Like sometimes I will look in the mirror and hate that I look like a man and stuff like that. I don't know many other symptoms of dysphoria. I know it isn't as bad as a lot of other trans people though.

If it has become an obsession and lasted a long time then chances are it will never go away, if that's the case then you may as well transition now rather than 10 years into the future when you can't pass but can't stand thinking about it any longer.

Not true! HSTS and AGP are incredibly blurry. I had tonnes of signs of dysphoria as a child, but I've always been interested in women and always had an AGP like sexuality. Don't base anything off your childhood, go with whatever you feel is wisest according to how you now feel.

Have you transitioned yet? I take it not. Transition will make dysphoria weaker but it will also make it constant. In my males days I could live a fulfilling and happy day but then be suicidal when I was alone at night. From my experience after transition the lows are less intense but it becomes continuous.

Yes, I definitely feel worse, I wont deny that. BUT to be honest had I continued being male I'd probably be dead by now because the lows were getting lower. I'd rather feel generally deflated and unworthy than feel erratic and self-destructive. Transition is not a cure, its a sedative.

It depends on your skeleton. I used to do MMA and had an insane inverted triangle that I thought I would never get rid of. After HRT and dieting I now have a tomboyish body. It honestly doesn't look bad, and a few people have complimented me on it.

Not them but I transitioned and my dysphoria still comes in waves, also weaker by the day as I get further into my transition, I have more gender euphoria then dysphoria nowadays.
Long before hormones the dysphoria did come in waves as well, increasing by the day both in strength and length, by the time I started hormones it was pretty much continues at the highest peak.
Been through some rough months on hormones as well though, few breakdowns and such, lots of mental effects, it did get worse before it got better but I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel now.

You want examples? I always used to sulk that I had to wear boy clothes, I hated the idea I had to grow into a "man", I liked a lot of female musicians, female leads were my favorite in most movies, played females characters in games, did gymnastics, etc...

The whole HSTS are the only children who should be allowed to transition thing is a joke; I didn't have a lisp, I didn't coo over males and I forced myself to live up to what was expected of me as a "boy". Unfortunately, despite my deep love of femininity I would not have been allowed to transition because I wasn't "gay" enough. If people had been accepting of me instead of looking for cookie cutter textbook definitions I would be much happier with my body today and would have transitioned around 11 or 12.

I think I do, or I've just gotten better at ignoring the world.. Or both.
I do enjoy my looks more day by day, in reflections and photos etc.. Doesn't mean I don't have bad days either but most of the time I'm seeing myself with a positive eye.

Why is that specifically AGP? Surely fantasising about or pretending to be female is a universal experience, and taking the opportunity to present female when not hindered by your body fits the HSTS stereotype better if anything (they're the ones that tend to declare a feminine identity or socially present female early on).
