Story wise it was fantastic. Metzen's magnum opus, honestly, however he should have had his hands cut off about 14 years ago. I really liked how it tied up every loose end in the story. The gameplay however was the biggest killer. I got into WoW in TBC for the gameplay mostly, story later. It was great watching it peak in MoP but after that it was like watching your pet dog you've had for 15 years get run over by a truck (WoD), then someone comes along to piss on the body (Legion).

Artifacts are stupid. Let's give literally whos the most powerful weapons in existence. Also only about half of them have any story or background. The game is a passive autopilot on rails shooter with no depth or interaction anymore. I miss pushing for world firsts in WotLK and Cata.

Although really the biggest thing that murders WoW for me is the last guy I was chasing makes it a regular point to follow me around showing off the girl he left me for.

Uninstalled and haven't looked back.

It's one of the most disappointing newer isometric RPGs, but that's partially because it had a lot of hype (but also because of all the cut content, simple combat, bad writing in a dialogue-heavy series and the short story).

When I think of all the other isometric RPGs that have come out in the past few years (Divinity: OS, Pillars of Eternity, the Shadowrun games, Age of Decadence, Wasteland 2, Underrail, etc.), I think it's probably the worst so far :/

It wasn't bad, just kind of okay. I was hoping it'd feel like a bit more of an odyssey, but I was done in 35 hours after doing anything and everything, and even restarting once early on.
