Don't come out if you can't support yourself, because if it doesn't go well you're fucked.

If you're going to come out but you don't think it'd be safe to do so in your parents house do it somewhere public where you can get away.

Y'all need to be careful about what you're doing. I was lucky in that my parents were really accepting but in hindsight I did it in a really stupid way that could have backfired so easily.

The thing is that if I walk into a bad situation, I can easily leave again. I just want them to have time to collect their thoughts and space so they don't feel like they need to make a snap judgement. The slim chance of them being supportive is worth the risk imo.
