Season's been kinda shit. At least this episode's challenge was fun, even if everything else felt rushed. I really liked Charlie, one of the best runway queens this season, so it's a shame to see him go. Apparently Charlie cracked one of his brittle old man ribs during the rehearsals for the cheerleading challenge, but didn't tell anyone about it because he was afraid they would send him home. He said he was having trouble sleeping the whole time and on edge and in pain.
He's still a disappointment for me, based on how much I liked him in his meet the queens video.. but oh well... the lame horse has been shot so I'm moving on.

Every new season I start off being kind of "meh" by all these new personalities, and most of them just sort of blur together... but I finally reached that point where I start figuring these bitches out and falling in love with them.

Honestly the biggest surprise to me has been Trinity.. I didn't give a flipping fuck about her at first.

Nina is still my favorite though.. I just hope he gets a grip on himself before it's too late.

The episode was filmed and edited for Logo, the VH1 switch didn't happen until it was already in the bag. The episodes are still the same length as they've always been, around 42-45 minutes. They may just feel short because All Stars 2 had extra long episodes to accommodate the way eliminations were done/lack of untucked.

There have been short runways/episodes without mini challenges every season since 5. The show does rushed episodes often. I imagine we'll see the return of mini challenges once the cast of queens is whittled down a little more, though who knows because every episode this year we've had at least one lengthy personal/sad story from one of the queens so who knows if we're getting one every episode this year and that's what's really cutting into the mini challenges.

Bit of a tangent not entirely in reply to your post, but I see a lot of people acting new af acting like the show is shorter all of a sudden or we've never had short runways/no minis and it's all rushed to fuck.

Loving the batch of queens this year, big step up from season 8 and most of 7. The challenges were real shit in episodes 2-3 though, really happy we had a return to a more classic maxi challenge this episode and I hope that trend continues.

Charlie should have been high last week but they passed over her. Week before they put her low for "not standing out" when most didn't stand out in that shitty challenge. Aja's rant was hilarious. These are the moments of drag race that everyone remembers. She's also a very good lipsyncer.

Nina is OK but she's been invisible since ep 1. I'm not into the confidence issues she seems to have, like being salty she was picked last. It's the first comedy challenge and Aja and Trinity had to guess who is funny/can act. Of course they'd be unsure about the quiet one.
