I only look ok when I have baby fat. And I live as a male and most people just think I'm a boy. Thank god they think I'm underage and not a grown man, but obviously I can't be doing it that well since there's a line between boy and female and most girls still seem like girls even when you cut their hair and dress them as boys.

I don't want to have to use things like long hair or girl clothes or curves or makeup to pass. I know that when I was younger I could do without those and everyone would just think I was a girl even if I had short hair and boy stuff and that's a lot less common now.

I guess I could go to a doctor, have them write hormones rather than just running in place with cypro. Maybe that would tip the balance, but I think I'd only really be comfortable after cosmetic work.

Does anyone think this app is close to figuring out how you would look like transitioning best case scenario? I have analyzed the changes the female filter makes from the original photo. Some of the changes are:

-Bigger, "pouty-er" lips with defined cupid's bow
-Larger, expressive eyes with longer eye lashes and makeup
-hair removal (obviously), smoother skin, less shadows, blush
-thinner, more raised eyebrows
-fat redistribution to upper cheeks
-smaller jawline (not always)
-adds thick, vibrant hair

It is interesting that it doesn't really seem to change the proportions or make the nose smaller. It seems making the skin smoother, nicer eyebrows and eyes seem to be enough.

The app seems to use an algorithm and change your face to what it "thinks" a female would look like.

This app made me question everything I thought about myself. To be totally honest, I can't stand any of my photos, until I took this shot. I don't know why, but I feel much comfortable with this picture, especially since I know that's me and that's how I could look like. Pretty secure in my gender, but it's always fun to see how things could have been

Dont give to much on the images this app gives you and dont become depressed because if them ("Why cant I look like this?" "Would I?" "Could I?" etc)
I overlayed quite a few before/after pictures and in most cases it changes attributes of the face that would not be affected by hrt.
E.g.

I'd trace it back to insufficient training with nonwhite skin when facial recognition software was first developed - an annoying problem that propagates through open source libraries - and training data which is mostly white.

I was more caught off guard by the app making "female" me look white. Still a training data error that could be corrected by getting more diverse data.
