So it's clear to me that in hentai there exists a greater distinction than gay/straight porn; that content produced for male and female.
For example, we have two types of yaoi. That which is directed towards men (traps) and that which is directed toward women (traditional yaoi).
The trap porn is very visually oriented, lots of soft bubbly curves and other femininity indicators.
The traditional yaoi porn contains lots of dialogue and sharp, angular, jagged, masculine lines.
So as a male who is only attracted to the feminine type trap yaoi, what does that have to say for my sexuality? Are there gay men who are only attracted to the traditional yaoi? And which type do transwomen prefer? It's clear to me that women prefer the traditional yaoi. I think the transmen do too?
Here is an example of feminine trap yaoi, homosexual yet gynephilic
And here is an example of traditional yaoi, for women
It's obviously different.
Both are hot desu

First pic is gross af.
Yaoi is meh. Western furry is best 2D gay porn.
>>8076230
In theory it's
Traditional: cishet women, gay men, straight transwomen, gay transmen.
Trap: cishet men, non-straight transwomen, straight transmen.
Where does the kind of yaoi where characters have reasonable adult bodies fit in this taxonomy?
>>8076230
what's it mean if you jerk off to fucked up trap yaoi but read cute relatively tame BL for the relationship drama?
>>8076576
That would arguably be the bara genre, which is primarily targeted towards homosexuals compared to most yaoi. Basically femininity in men isn't seen as a gay thing in Japan but bodybuilding is.
>>8076679
This makes sense to be desu.
>>8076278
>>8076284
Both aren't my thing.
>>8076576
Even this seems too polished or feminine.
I prefer masculine baras and masculine shotas. Hairy guys. Guys that would give off a manly musk. Always full of sexual energy.
It seems rare to find an artist I'm into as I'm pretty picky.
>>8076543
What about bisexuals? I like 2D traps but irl I like guys
>>8076230
I'm ftm and prefer bara
mostly gay ftm here. I'm curious about this stuff as well because women are really into fanfiction and written erotica which men dont seem to be as into in general. Personally i mostly read fanfiction
>>8076278
nope.jpg
although as an irl person that person might be cute
>>8076284
>>8076576
could potentially be into these
purely visual wise i get off most to soft chubby looking guys and bhm. is that bara material?
I just took a trip to /y/ for science and this thread is pretty noice >>2365334 so is this >>2370092 but that might just be because thats the one animu I know
Also: I could probably be into any type of guys (or women) getting it on if they have a cute story to go along with them, nothing like sweet people getting loved tenderly
>>8078151
oh fugg I forgot >>>/y/2365334 >>>/y/2370092
>>8078151
You're AAP
Bisexual ftm that prefers grills. I like traps but I like pic related more. I prefer solo porn in 3D and 2D.
>>8078218
and?
>>8078151
I wanna clarify "mostly read fanfiction" because i pretty much barely read it but i look at yaoi/2D even less. Didnt think to mention that my usual thing for fapping is 3D solo vids of either men or women (usually men lately while mostly women in the past), was just thinking in terms of non-3D mediums
might be getting too austist about this but this topic is pretty interesting to me
What if I like stories about cute couples but don't actually read smut
>>8078349
then you're me
>>8078387
I hope we're not AAP
>>8078407
Meh, does it really matter? As long as I can function in society and feel happy about myself then I don't see a problem with it
>>8078428
This is actually a really nice way to look at things
>>8078369
It's a sign of AAP/HSTS. It depends on what you like. Most women like relationship oriented or sensual erotica. Men prefer physical. It's why fanfiction caught on with girls more than it did with men.
Gay guy here who absolutely loves reading yaoi (both porn and non-porn). For me, I like artstyles similar to BL artist Kii Kanna or the anime Tsuritama or the manga Boku no Hero Academia. Basically, shota-esque, but not exactly shota (though I don't mind shota either). Basically, I like cute, soft and fluffy artstyles. It's so rare to find though -- most yaoi is either too feminine or too masculine for me.
>>8078633
Maybe you'll like artists Shimura Takako (pic related) and Junko.
>>8078550
>It's a sign of AAP/HSTS. It depends on what you like.
But I like AGP stories...
So why isn't lesbian porn split into porn for lesbians/straight men and straight women/gay men.
>>8078915
Thank you for telling me about Shimura Takako. Read the whole manga you posted and was laughing time. I'm disappointed that that and Sayonara are her only BL stories. Hopefully she'll make more.
>>8079132
Gay men don't like lesbian porn, straight women are just watching it out of their bisexual/lesbian side.
>>8082049
So straight men who like trap/futa porn are just watching it out of their bisexual/gay side as well?
>>8083597
Traps and futa are different.
