I'm assuming it's something like other sexualities where it's probably genetic where you're basically predisposed to be ace and then the environment around you causes you to express those genes in a certain way. I haven't checked muh hormonez but there have been ace people who have done it and I believe there was dude here that turned out to be low in test. I fantasize a lot, yes. But anytime anyone has ever gotten close to me IRL I almost get angry. I don't like it, I don't want anyone touching me. It's almost insulting. Especially things like hugging or touching my hands. It feels like a lie.

From what I've seen as of the latest episode, Jughead/Betty is on shaky ground. Betty threw a birthday party after disregarding how Archie said that Jughead doesn't like parties or celebrating his birthday apart from going to a classic movie double feature. Jughead basically snapped and asked Betty if she really wanted to be in a relationship with him or was just waiting for Archie to claim her.

I was skeptical at first, so I thought I'd just watch the first episode. I'm somewhat hooked now, mostly so I can see if the writers plans to bring Sabrina Spellman in work. They brought Josie and her band and I'm sure that eventually, Kathleen Keen is going to show up as something fashion-related.

Thankfully, the OTHER popular comic that Archie Comics prints probably won't show up, unless it turns out that one of the science teachers is called Ivo Kintobor

Hopefully, by season's end, Jughead will work out that he's more interested in eating burgers than eating Betty.

Comics Jughead is confirmed Ace. I'm sure that if you typed into GIS "Jughead Asexual", you'd be able to find a scan of the page where he says so. Admittedly, it does give off the "Smug Ace looking down on the humpers" vibe.

Show Jughead is more complicated. Cole Sprouse (the actor playing him) said that he argued at the beginning for Jughead to be both aro and ace. The whole "Betty/Jughead" thing is mostly "both are damaged and trying to help each other", but Sprouse does hope that Jugheads Aro Ace traits end up in Riverdale and that it is done well.

I mean, I'd be willing to chalk up the fact that he's the one that initiates the kiss with Betty to him following classic movie tropes (y'know, "Girls having a breakdown, Supportive Male Friend stops it with a kiss")

It would just be nice to have a semi-mainstream Ace character that isn't Doctor Sheldon Fucking Cooper or Light "All According to Keikaku" Yagami
