I deal with it by trying to get good at random skills or atking up new hobbies to gt my mind off of it. It has the added benefit of making you more effective in other things that you do. I taught myself discreet math, electrical engineering, and learned 11 programming languges as a coping mechanism. It ended up improving my life. Just do something constructive to take your mind off of it. I recently started playing piano and that actually helps alot because it lets you be expressive as well, which makes for a good emotional outlet.

It's already hard enough to get people to understand the emotional complex behind transitioning. When you try to tackle those ethical and societial issues but then throw an extra wrench of abnormal sexuality into it, it becomes almost impossible for even the people experiencing it to untangle. There's already enough shame involved with hating your body the way we do. When you add the questions that others may have about the sincerity of your feelings and the legitimacy of your identity, it's enough to drive one mad as they say. It's best to do nothing. yes, you totally can. You'd have to start as a junior, but everyone does. You'd be looking for something called "roto and paint" "2D paint" or any combo of that. People always need roto artists. 3D animators are a different kettle of fish. You might also want to look into texture painting if your 2D art skills are really strong.

Try looking into compositing as well. Look at the VFX company's in your area, look at the job openings and get non-commercial copies of the programs they want you to have experience with. If you need help learning them spend a little cash and use the Digital Tutors website.

Well something as painful / trauma inducing as
the process of transitioning / being transgender shapes peoples personalities in many ways, it feels hard to be really specific with out over generalizing though. However I've found that people that experience trauma from a young age usually have somewhat of a unique perspective of the world, maybe it's a loss of innocence / realization that life can be extremely cold and bleak, I'm not sure. Also as other anons have often pointed out I think male / female socialization can play a role as well in creating a somewhat unique type of person post transition. Things such as favorite movies / musical taste / hobbies / interests / etc might reflect to a certain extent how they were socialized as children.

It depends, I guess personally I somewhat idealize mtfs / ftms that are transitioned but still exhibit some traits / interests that are typical to their natal sex, I think I associate that with a sense of honesty / comfortableness with ones self.

Hmm, physical traits for mtfs I think I idealize are ones that can have short hair / wear androgynous clothing and still pass relatively well, also I've found for some reason I find mtfs that pass well but still use a somewhat male speaking voice to be attractive / "ideal" for some reason, even though in a social context it doesn't make any sense to do that because it would effectively out them to everyone every time they spoke, which seems kind of stupid. Also I like the idea of mtfs that are extremely dominant / assertive in everyday life, I think that's mostly due to an overexposure through 4chan to extremely beta submissive mtfs. As for interests, I think my musical tastes seem to be somewhat androgynous masculine leaning (its hard to objectively gauge though) so I idealize mtfs /ftms that share a similar taste to me in music.

I haven't thought about ftms as much but I like the idea of a ftm that doesn't attempt to overcompensate their sense of masculinity (which isn't something I've ever observed, but my intuition tells me that some might do this in the same way I've observed many mtfs try to overcompensate their expression of femininity.)

I guess in general I'm attracted to androgyny from both females and males.

Also i was thinking while I was running maybe the reason why I don't think of ftms as much is because I'm essentially attracted to the inverse of what I find attractive in gnc mtfs, which somehow feels invalidating to a ftm identity. Maybe this is just more an example of how females are more privileged in western society to be able to behave / present in gnc ways and still be regarded as "women" while the expectation of what constitutes a male is much more narrow / oppressive.
