Also, I think the term straight isn't inclusive enough, since there's more than one gender, so we need a new term like "straight + the same gender too". That way it includes people who are attracted to males and females.

I think people are so used to having to correct their ideas about gay people but having to correct their ideas about other sexualities is still so foreign to most people right now. It's unknown territory, which is scary, because people who have identified as oppressed for so long, suddenly realize areas where they may also be oppressors, and that's a bitter pill to swallow. I don't just mean bisexuals either, but asexuals and whatever other identity I fail to mention. LGBTQIA whatever it's called is still very young despite all of the work that's been done. I admit to having had negative bias against asexuals before based on one or two bad experiences, which isn't fair.
