Deschamps-Braly (DB) is usually said to be one of the best ones in the US, since he makes significant changes, and has the skill to make those changes effective. He's expensive, though, at around $50k.

Do you think their Brazilian clinic is decent? I don't know how much I want to save up for it I know I will never get anything like 50k saved up for DB. I literally can only save a few thousand per year. Someone told me I could probably go to facial team for like 15k and that they do really good work. So I thought maybe I could save up for another year then try to get a loan for the rest.

There are only three ffs doctors/doctor group on the entire planet who are actually capable of giving you satisfactory resutls, and they are Dr. Deschamps-Braly in San Francisco, California, Dr. Dimaggio in Buenos Aries, Argentina, and the doctors that make up Facial Team in Barcelona, Spain.

The reason being, the are actual maxillofacial reconstructive surgeons i.e. they are doctors who have an educational background in the restructuring of the human cranium.

All the other doctors (e.g. Spiegel, Meyer, Lee, Bart, Raphael, etc.) are simply plastic surgeons who market themselves as reconstructive surgeons, nothing more. Now, don't get me wrong, some of these doctors non the less give stellar results, Dr. Cardenas in Guadalajara, Mexico for example has been doing FFS for 30+ years and has a large array of successes, but that still doesn't excuse the fact that he has no educational background in actually reconstructing the human skull; he'll give you really good plastic surgery and more than likely make you look like a woman, but he and doctors like him can only do so much.

If you want absolutely good results, save up the money and go to one of the three actually qualified doctors; you can be cheap, but be advised that doing so is basically playing the lottery and crossing your fingers, hoping that you get good results.

For the love of God, don't go to Speigel, I honestly don't understand why people still go to this fucker, this guy is the one and true meme doctor, as in he will do little to nothing to your face unless you were already super androgynous to begin with.

I feel I need to mention this because for some idiotic reason girls still go to him. I mean, no one goes to Zukowski anymore because he has had girls die on him, and also his go to bimbo face look he does is not one many girls really like, but for some reason people still go to Spiegel.

Like, just don't, if you feel the need to go cheap, go to Cardenas, Bart, or Rossi. They might leave you looking a tad bit wonky, but it's better to be left looking like an oddly faced woman than an obvious trans woman, and I have yet to see any Spiegel results that are in any way or form passable.

I'm not saying this to say you're wrong or you're right. Just that I went to Spiegel a couple years ago and got the results I wanted. I chose him because he wasn't Zukowski and because I only wanted conservative work done.

I got a brow reduction and trachea shave. I didn't have difficulty passing before (always sorta andro + wear glasses that hid brow). These two things were things I felt I had to hide, so I wanted to get them done and be comfortable.

It was a good experience, and I'd do it again. I would go back for the same kind of conservative nose and jaw work if money weren't an obstacle, those are just because of vanity not passing. I can endorse the guy and his team for that level of work (unless there have been major changes/ developments in the past 2+ years). I can't speak to hon-level needs.

Went to McGinn for dickchopoff a year after. I was one of the people posting in the SRS thread a few weeks ago.

I had FFS with DB. He did a fantastic job, I'm really happy with his work. He did exactly what I asked him to do, and he did it well. Deschamps can do aggressive work that doesn't look uncanny, and he can do aggressive work that won't destroy your face. He's very passionate about helping his patients, and if he is very reasonable about doing revisions if there's anything you're not happy about. He's also honest about what he thinks you do and don't need.

The only thing I'm not happy with so far is my nose, so I may go get a revision on that one day with a local surgeon. Then again, it takes a LONG time for the swelling to disappear completely and even longer for the skin to completely shrinkwrap over the new bone structure, so who knows.

I've heard stories of other doctors (including and especially Spiegel) treating their FFS business like an assembly line. Dr. D spends several hours with you for the consultation. He tells you to call him whenever you want to discuss your surgery, whether that is discussing your desired outcome, post surgery questions, whatever. He is very open to giving free revisions if there's anything you're even slightly not happy with. His bedside manner is very good too. Very nice guy, and he's enjoyable to talk to.

I had FFS with Deschamps 5 months ago and I'm already very happy with my results. Although, the fact that I am younger than this woman and also was very clear with Dr. D on what I wanted may have contributed to that.

He's not a cold detached person. When I was in his office for his 3 month post-op, we finished way early, and instead of the meeting ending early, we ended up just chatting for the rest of the hour. We talked about FFS techniques, different surgeons, other stuff like Yeson, etc. He's just a passionate guy that's very easy to talk to and is willing to spend more time with patients.

As far as the bedside manner, it's hard to describe unless you experience it yourself. He smiled a lot and in general had a very calm demeanor before the surgery that kept me at ease. But I dunno, it's hard to explain.

Nah not me. Not sure how I'd rate her since most people only get one SRS so you don't get to compare. Can say I was happy with the process and results. I can't imagine another Dr. doing a better job, so I'd choose her again.

I might have been fine going to Meltzer too but wasn't crazy about the 2-step requirement (compared with McGinn's approach of trying to get it 100% the first time but also offering revisions free if you need them). And Melzer's cost was too high for me to afford anyway.

I'd want some cosmetic revisions because any SRS can only get you so far, but presumably I could go to any surgeon who does that for normies. Not that the appearance is bad especially if I leave some hair. Nothing additional is required, only vanity from me.
