I mean, honestly I can think of many reasons to pick the computer. I make money by programming and do it as a hobby too and play video games with my boyfriend often as well. Yeah, it would suck to not be able to have sex with him anymore but we can always try masturbating to each other if we need to relieve our needs. Sacrificing my work, ambitions, and fun times with my partner just for sex seems like a bad deal, even though I really like having both.

Plus, if you don't have a partner then you can just use the computer to look at all the porn you want and you won't have to write your own smut or seek hookers.

Also I'm definitely not the type to take something like this to HR, but do you think I just gained +10 immunity to being fired? The question itself was basically outing anyone who answered honestly when put on the spot.

I'm glad my coworkers are pretty chill, we definitely have had less workplace appropriate conversations most days, but I'm just wondering how things are going to be going forward. 2 months in is long enough for them to get a feel for my personality and quirks and I've gotten pretty friendly with them.

Do you think I just gained massive respect for not "hiding" to those who held suspicions since I never mentioned my dating life or joined in on celebrity crush talk?

Do you think I did homos in general a huge PR favor by not making my sexuality my defining identity or shoving it in people's faces until asked?

I'm transgender (mtf) so it really depends on whether you ask a bigot or someone who isn't a bigot. If you ask me then my boyfriend counts as the opposite sex, but I was also exploring the idea of giving up sex aside from that.

If you legit said the "no use for women" bit word for word that was spergy. You should've said you pick to keep the computer, and when the guy asks why, you could have made a joke about playing for the other team, or done a coy smile if you have a nice enough face. They're going to assume you're some autistic virgin and possibly misogynistic if they think too deeply about it.

Personally that's a fun question though, I'd pick the computer too if I were straight. The technology of the information era is better than sex hands down, don't care how autistic that makes me seem.

It was a bit spergy of me but I initially answered "can't work without a computer... so opposite sex" before answering (to the other guy who asked who said opposite sex) while putting my hands up "I have no use for women".

I do admit it was spergy but I don't think my mannerisms or face conveyed too much misogyny. Bear in mind I've been talking to these people 8 hours a day 5 days a week for 2 months. I think that gives me some leeway since it's not like it was their first impression of me on week 1.

Overall I am slightly cringing over it but I'm hopeful that they understood my meaning and the awkwardness of my position without wanting to go into details.
