There's certainly ways to deal with the trauma t hat led to a person internalizing their love objects(which are normally placed in other people, and we seek these objects for sexual gratification). This kind of psychological isolation can be treated.

Anyone else taking their transition cautiously?

I've basically been trying to side-step into a more feminine appearance and mannerisms. And I'm scared of treating this like a fetish. I feel like I have to prove it to myself for myself. And I'm trying to find where on my masculine-feminine scale I want to settle without going too far. I don't want to do/wear something just because it's girly.

I'm at like 8 months full dose and my package of briefs showed up in the mail yesterday; mens sports briefs with no "flap". Boxer briefs are finally being rotated out. Did the same from relaxed fit to skinny jeans. I can't even wear my old jeans now; even with the belt I hate how baggy they are now. I switched from XL shirts to M to S. I originally didn't like V necks because I thought they'd make me feel more vulnerable. Now I wear them quite regularly because I like them. I keep Medium to wear to work. I own exactly 3 female shirts; plain solid colors whose colors I picked because I can't accidentally wear them to work. I ordered men's A-shirts because they're long and skinny and I want to get over my insecurity about my shoulders.

I was going to order women's socks but I saw the small gap from plain men's to plain women's and didn't see the point. Particularly girly socks seem a bit "not me". If there was a cute theme I might.

My voice is still male but... I don't mumble nearly as much and I'm not as scared to sound "like a fag" to strangers like the way it comes out naturally anymore. My epilator is my "favorite torture device".
