Both natal males and females have nearly an entire octave of potential tessitura difference. Meaning that the low outliers of female voice sit comfortably within the upper passagio of a bass or low baritone. Tenors and lyric baritones can easily develop a passing cis female voice.

The basses that CAN manage to have a solid female voice will do so through heavy vowel restructuring and a well developed high end and mixed register.

Yeah that would be good. It's hard for me to give specific advice beyond the surface level without directly working with you, hearing your voice throughout its range, and measuring it.

Those would be a good starting point though!

Not formally or anything. I have a degree in music composition. I am by trade a composer, producer, and music theorist. I've been teaching privately for ~5 years (music composition, theory, production, piano).

When I came out as trans I realized my voice was something I had to take very seriously. I looked everywhere for resources and found nothing that helped me so I approached it more analytically.

Since, I have independently studied speech-language pathology, vocal physiology, vocal pedagogy (which I do have a background in), and did a lot of hard analysis on natal male and female voices.

Uhh, I stopped using my male voice in my music right after this piece basically (5-6 years ago). My first, second, and third solo LP's have very little voice.

Yes, I'm developing a technique to sing a female voice. It may take me a very long time but I have been thinking about it and experimenting.

In the new stuff I've written, I've resampled my voice for a different feminine quality. I'm no longer afraid of my male range though. I've accepted that the music I produce with my body is not -me-, it's being an instrument and conduit for music.
