That's why I never REEE'd for freedom unless I experienced actual discrimination. I've rented and bought a home, served in the military, worked private and government jobs, and even got married after the SCOTUS ruling. I've honestly been treated worse as a vet than as an open homosexual. Since the SCOTUS ruling, I've only been keeping an eye out for bills that allow for discrimination in the government sector.

I semi agree but the real distraction is on keeping people from reqlizing their own self interests. Identity politics encourage balkanization and collectivist thinking. You can recognize your lack of capital just fine if you keep your anger relegated to your group not getting a big enough pie slice. Its easier placate these lumbering collectives than swarms of diverse people very angry that THEY (as the individual) are denied those resources.

Its the difference between stopping a group with 1 common motivation and identity and stopping a group with motivations and identities equal to the number of participants.

Not really, intersectional politics made it so that everyone in leftist circles is acutely aware of the way in which racism and classism cannot be divorced from one another, capitalism is evil, and the identity politics of the past were flawed.

on one hand theres the trauma, on the other the community that supports all of this behavior because it's consensual, and I guess there's a minority of people that are just curious and get in to lgbt lifestyle because of it and remain with that identity since these are all considered orientations.
