you know, i've really been thinking a lot lately about the psychology behind transphobia. with countless scientific sources under our belts, and the knowledge that transgenderism in and of itself is not, in fact, a mental illness, you'd think it might be as easy as
>transgender is a mental illness :DDD those faggods need a dogtor, nod to have their delusions subborted :--DD
"well, this is factually incorrect friendo. when you refer to transgenderism itself as a mental illness, you're putting the cart before the horse. gender identity disorder is a medically recognised disorder in which one's internal sense of gender identity does not align with their biological sex. this leads to a medically detectable psychological trauma known as gender dysphoria. gender dysphoria is a diagnosable condition-it's far more than a matter of "feelings". because of the aforementioned psychological trauma, many trans people are diagnosed with mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety. the enormous amount of stigma that often surrounds trans people does not help the alarming suicide rates, either. so you see that treatments such as HRT can very legitimately be considered life-saving."
>fug, i habe no argument other than "dransgender baffrooms" because i'm a dumb gunt so i guess you win ::-D
my experience is that transphobes usually-if not always-tend to have a lacking understanding of psychology and sociology, which is observable in just about any "SJW vs transphobe" argument on normie website x, is that the transphobic individual often tends to use the
>i went to 11th grade biology class and you didn't xDD
argument.
going back to my previous thread, this ties in with my belief that "TERFism" is nothing more than old-school transphobia with a modern paint job of "gender critical" and "protecting real women"-let's not forget that radfems were the first to popularise le "trans women=child molesters" meme.
>my experience is that transphobes usually-if not always-tend to have a lacking understanding of psychology and sociology, which is observable in just about any "SJW vs transphobe" argument on normie website x, is that the transphobic individual often tends to use the
grammatical error on that line. my bad.
I've always assumed that TERFs only made up a small minority of transphobes
I loath the term TERF. It assumes that the only transphobic feminists are those who are radical feminists. While radical feminists may be the most outward with their disdain for trans people, all feminist are guilty of transphobia. #yesallfeminists. The fundamentals of feminism, that gender is a social construct is itself transphobic. But by othering and demonizing TERFs you allow feminists to separate themselves and claim they are not transphobic.
In reality you should consider all feminists transphobic and the term should just be TEF.
