What does /lgbt/ think about r/LGBT?

It has the same problem everything on reddit has: it becomes an echochamber because things everyone agrees on bubbles to the top while controversial topics are drowned out. Also the incentive to agree with people (upvotes) while meaningless still exists and does sway people to post safer comments instead of truthful comments.

This is true. But /lgbt/ goes too far in the other extreme. Without the policing that upvotes bring, the good and thoughtful discussion here is drowned out by shit posts and trolls. I long ago learnt to assume every single post I see on 4chan is mocking the exact sort of post that it is. Kind of bums me out sometimes.

It's not that bad, anyone with half a brain can tell the difference between actual discussion and someone just trying to get a rise out of someone.
It's reddit, what do you expect

Sounds like you need to lurk moar.
I came to 4chan off and on since 2006 and I didn't start posting til 2014. I never felt like i had lurked enough to warrant posting. Now I get in arguments every thread and my topics go to 300+
