I actually did this all the time when I was going through puberty. I even learned self hypnosis so I could better dissociate with my body. I would have out of body experiences where I felt my whole self reduced to a point of light in blackness.

In those disconnected moments I connected with my female self and felt relief. I know you all think I am crazy now but I don't care.
