So has anyone on this board detransitioned before
(mtf or ftm). How was it? Did you beat your dysphoria? Or did it get worse? Did yoy go back to your old life or was it completely different. Any pros and cons to doing it? Im thinking about just throwing it all away and stopping hrt. I know detransitioning is a touchy subject I would like to hear some stories if anyone has any
>>
I stopped many years ago and repressed, I was extremely depressed and isolated because of not passing. but during that time I had gained about 60 lbs and didn't really put any effort in. years later I've lost weight and still have dysphoria, but fear it's too late now. part of me would be content with just being a feminine guy in a relationship instead of transitioning and being alone.
I think it is a choice, I don't believe in "there's trutrans that want to put a gun to their head if they aren't becoming a woman" and fetishism. I've had these feelings my whole life but there's also reality and all kinds of constraints.

I'm still on hormones, but I doubt social transition will ever happen. I just wish SRS didn't have the social transition requirement. I mean, I still have dysphoria, but going out as a hulk in women's clothes in order to get a SRS letter isn't going to solve it. Hrt, SRS and hair removal can at least alleviate it somewhat.
>>
I went ftm and then back to femme non-binary. My life is no worse for it. My body is slightly different now, but I like it this way better anyway. I still have dysphoria sometimes but it isn't too severe.
The worst part is how much of a retard you look like when you're like "you know how I was going to transition to the opposite sex because that's who I am inside... Well not so much anymore."

>I just wish SRS didn't have the social transition requirement
I know Suporn doesn't require a whole lot. He takes patients from parts of the world where transition can get you killed easily, so he's pretty understanding.
>>
If you're actually trans detransitioning is out of the question.
>>
>>7864593
See the truth is I want to kill myself but I was hoping maybe detransitioning would help me out in anyway force myself not to be trans anymore I don't want to hurt my family and friends so I want to try anything to be alive. Maybe there was some hope of other people who did it this way.

I think you're right. It's down to how strong your dysphoria is and how well you can manage it. Not "either you have legit dysphoria and need to transition of you'll kys eventually or it's just fake dysphoria from other reasons". Any dysphoria can be managed if you're capable of it. But is that easier than the reality of transition? For some people, yes. In the future than might change if transition becomes easier or tricks for dealing with dysphoria start becoming well known.
>>
not really, but I was on skittles for 3 months before I realised I was making a mistake
>>
lookup TRTV on youtube they have a bunch of stories from people who detransitioned, many of them after 8, 10 or 15 years.

if you haven't had any surgeries you can still have a fulfilling and happy life, it's not too late

iktf, however I don't think detransing the whole way would be a good idea. Probably best to remain on HRT if you decide to socially detransition. You will never make the thoughts go away completely and somewhere down the line you may regret stopping HRT. It really depends on what your goals in life are.
>>
>>7864693
How did you know it was a mistake at that point?
>>
>>7864752
HRT causes major irreversible changes, hormones or not.
>>
>>7869480
LOL, it does not

HRT did absolutely nothing to my body
>>
>>7869499
Breasts? iirc bone growth for ftms too.
>>
>>7869504
Surgically removable. The only real worry is infertility.
>>
>>7869509
If you need surgery to detransition you're back in the situation of >>7864752

I dread to think what surgeries a passing ftm would need to look like a girl again.
>>
>>7864144
Just so you know many surgeons will wave that requirment if you can get a therapist that'll write a letter explaining why you can't socially transition.
>>
>>7869480
If you've already been on hrt libger than a year there's no real reason to ever stop if it makes you feel good. The changes are done.
>>
>>7875412
It could feel good but you might still want to stop because
>health
>not wanting to transition after all
>fertility
>>
>>7864752
>based TRTV
>being mentioned on /tttt/
