Honestly, I would avoid public displays of affection. maybe stop at a Walmart and get some cheap clothes that don't fit perfectly.

they'll make fun of you behind your back like polite rednecks. a waitress might come up to you and say something like "I DON'T MEAN TO BE RUDE BUT ARE Y'ALL A COUPLE???
