As an MtF, is there any way to get hair regrowth without implants? I have thin hairs on the corners of my hairline (which cause the M shape), so I know my hair follicles aren't dead yet. If these grow, it should be possible to get an n hairline.
I'm currently about 9 months into HRT, taking sublingual estradiol and spironolactone. Do I need finasteride in addition to this? I hear minoxidil works, too, but I hear it doesn't work on hairlines. What are your experiences with this? Thanks.

Works just fine on my hairline desu. Hairline minox meme is just a meme.

Are you saying minox helped you grow back hair on your hairline? If so, awesome. What other medications are you using?

Minox might work if you're on HRT. It doesn't work on the hairline on cis males because of DHT.
But even in cis-men on fina they use minox on their hairline and it sometimes works.

I see, thanks. So it'd be worth a try if I'm on HRT (E + spiro), then?
Also, what would be a good brand to use? Is Kirkland sufficient?

Yeah kirkland is the cheapest as of right now I believe. Don't bother with brand-name, the patent is expired, there's no difference between brands anymore.
Go for it, when I bought it I had like 6 bottles for $30 which was like a 6mo supply.
The main issue is the cheaper stuff expires quicker, but just double dose if you have to, it's still cheaper than brand-name. If it's slightly yellow looking it means it's degrading but just apply more. The generic stuff is so ridiculously cheap its worth the crappier quality.

Awesome, thank you :)

If it's like strong yellow colour ask for a refund though, no point getting decayed chemicals.
But a slight yellow tinge is just whatever. If you got it for less than $5/bottle then I'd say use it.
It should ideally be colourless, but obviously storage time determines colour. When you receive it it should be only slightly yellow. If it's dark there's nothing left. That shit is oxidized. I've heard of it happening so be careful.
If you buy actual rogaine brand and it has a slight yellow tinge ask for a refund because chances are you paid 5-10x the cost as a generic brand to begin with. Rogaine should be pure colourless, anything less and you got ripped off. Like considering a 6mo supply of kirkland mino is $30 and a 6mo supply of rogaine is like $40x6 if it's not colourless somebody should be getting a beatdown.

Cool! I'll definitely keep that in mind. Thanks!
wait so is minox actually worth it when you've been on hrt? and you wouldn't need to keep taking it forever? if i could fill in some spots i wouldn't need a transplant

There hasn't been any studies of minox with hrt. From a theoretical perspective HRT + minox is permanent. The main factor as to why cis men cannot stop minox without risk of losing more hair is that minox is basically holding back the floodgates on DHT via a weird capillary vasodilation effect or something of that sorts.
