I have a few beers or glasses of wine on the weekends typically. Always for social occasions. I usually stop at getting a bit typsy. I've never gone blackout drunk or been unable to recall a night of boozing.

I've done weed a handful of times. It's always a social thing for intimate settings, so I'd say I only partake two or three times a year on average.

Other than the aforementioned weed, no. I've never had a cigar or cigarette in my life.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if I believe that I personally have a problem with drugs, or are you asking if I think any of these drugs are bad in general?

Smoking is a huge turnoff. Moderate drinking and weed isn't offensive. I don't think I have any issues with how I use any of these in my life.

I drink only socially; and not much, because I actually hate the taste of alcohol and how it feels to even be tipsy. It's a bizarre sensation that I find intensely uncomfortable and borderline painful. I don't know why other people seem to enjoy it, or if I feel something that they don't.

I tried weed once for pain relief after a major surgery. (I was unresponsive to morphine in the hospital, so I was just taking Tylenol, and that didn't cut it when I got a cough and it pulled on my stitches.)

I hallucinated. It worked for pain relief, but was otherwise unpleasant (smelled bad, tasted bad, I thought glowing radioactive goo was coming out of my incision while I was on it), so I wouldn't readily repeat that experience unless I needed it again for something like pain relief.

Since I still need surgery for transition, that's still a possibility. But I have no interest in it recreationally.

I take prescription Dexedrine for ADHD, and would never abuse it because I need it to work.

No other drugs in my life besides NSAIDs, asthma meds and HRT. So yeah, no.

I seem to have atypical responses to most drugs, so they've never been my friend.

My "drug" of choice has really always been food (sugar/salt/fat!), but I've managed to never be more than 10lbs overweight at my highest weight. So I've got a weakness there, but I work to keep it under control.

Same anon; it just occurred to me that besides food, there's also caffeine. I used to drink WAY too much; I'm now more of a "two cups of coffee/tea/cola" a day person, but I've had a terrible habit in the past.

According to 23andme, I'm genetically inclined to process caffeine at a really fast rate. Which is good, because the supposed max recommended adult dose of caffeine in a day is 400mg, and I've drank twice that many times (think something like 4 cans of Monster plus other soda or coffee).

That's not "substance abuse" in the typical sense. But if we're examining susceptibility to addiction in general here, I thought I'd also throw that out.

Had a problem with benzos for a little bit about a year ago. Honestly though I have an addictive personality and if I have steady access to any substance I'm worried I'll abuse it, which is why I try pretty hard to make sure I don't have access.

I do not doubt lgbt has more substance abuse but I doubt the straight number is that low considering how many people I know take a variety of drugs " to get through the day" use prescription drugs against direction and drink bottles of cough syrup to go to sleep. A lot of people abuse pain meds because they keep popping pills until all the pain is gone.

I would say I was using nicotine as an anti anxiety and was using it every 30 mins.

I also had a short bout with hydros, that was bad.
Cannabis intake has lowered too due to decrees in over all anxiety. I have started drink a lot of caffeine again.

I had a problem with weed it was no longer relaxing or enjoyable. I started thinking about every cringy incident I had ever had in life and I could not stop thinking about, probably the paranoia people talk about. So i stopped doing it. It would be fine with friends occasionally but I wont do it alone anymore.
If I had a problem with anything it is cigarettes it is really love hate with these things.
