Depends on you, are you fine with meeting people in real life? If so do it because it's way easier to find someone since you won't end up meeting someone living in the other side of the planet and falling in love with them.

Also if you're in college that's a great place to meet people, I miss college days because of that, after you graduate it's super hard to meet new people with exception of work and shit like clubs/gatherings as I said earlier.
