Because I lived in Alberta most of my life only came out to a few people but being back in Nova Scotia Living in Lower Sackville in high school I was open about being bi anyone could be as black gay or as Jewish as they liked . kinda tumblry actually the gsa was pretty sjw orientated but other than that pretty decent . never got involved with them though (the gsa) had my own shit to do ( DnD club plus mild social life and anime )

Woo, another person from Sackvegas! Things are definitely better for LGBT folks in HRM than the South Shore or Cape Breton, but that's true of most urban centres. I never had any hassle transitioning when I lived in Calgary, even with the immigrant populations. Having moved back to Sackville, I find I get treated like a princess more or less. There are definitely douchebags around, but so many people are accepting here that they tend to keep it to themselves. Doesn't hurt too that the Metro paper here is very trans positive.

Seriously show me how to get my hormones free! The only way I got them cheap in NS was I had insurance through work. Out here I don't have that and they are fucking expensive in BC.
