Hey senpai. I have been quietly hanging out with your fine folks here and I feel now is the time to reach out to someone intelligent and help me sort out some feelings I have had all my life. I am a seemingly male cis but I have constantly wanted to experience life as a woman since an early age. There are sexual aspects to this, sure, but i know my feeling go deeper then that.

I don't want to see a therapist but I find confidence in strangers like you, always have. Anybody care to be my sounding board or where do find your safe spaces?

pic related.

>I am a seemingly male cis but I have constantly wanted to experience life as a woman since an early age. There are sexual aspects to this, sure, but i know my feeling go deeper then that.
This is AGP. You might have heard the term use to imply someone isn't really trans or is just a fetishist, but that's a meme. It's a kind of trans and most of our feelings go deeper than just getting off. Being able to seem cis is very common AGP trans. Others like us are here >>7708427
>>
>>7718620
Yeah, I was confused on the whole memeness that i seen thrown about with AGP. Kinda why i made made this thread.
>>
>>7718630
It does get confusing and can feel bad, because the meme it is a stigma and it is implying we're less trans, when really it's just a different kind which needs to be understood as such. /agpg/ is really good for talking about this though. For me, it's amazing how close some of my feelings are shared by others.

Transitioning is the big debate among AGPs and hearing other people's experiences can be helpful there. But there seems to be no perfect answer to that, no decision guaranteed to be fulfilling and without regret.
>>
>>7718650
Wow, I did not know about /agpg/. Thanks for the info!

Its not that memes make me feel bad, I have had these feelings all my life but there not overwhelming. I have been living as a cis male all my life and its fine but there have been times and things that I have noticed about myself bubbling to the surface that really make me think i am missing out on this whole other part of my life.

The memes just getting the facts more difficult.
>>
>>7718657
oh shi~ thought it was a real bored.
>>
>>7718620
I don't think those 2 sentences alone are really enough to conclude that the OP must be AGP. There's a difference between getting off on the idea of being a girl, and being naturally inclined towards visualizing yourself as a woman in your sexual fantasies the same way cis women do.
>>
>>7718680
I agree. I do get of on the idea but I would like to also live a day, a week or month experiencing the mindset of a woman. I can visualize myself as a woman and have but reality being what it is...
Thats why I am here... You know other then the occasional post to /ck/ on whatever I am cooking thats interesting I have not been a regular poster since mootykins implemented the captcha and kimmo and what not.
>>
>>7718657
>but there have been times and things that I have noticed about myself bubbling to the surface that really make me think i am missing out on this whole other part of my life.
What sort of things OP?

>>7718680
They really are! What OP described isn't cis woman.

>>7718693
AGP isn't just getting off. It's a certain kind of wanting to be a woman, with a sexual part to it, that can be dysphoric.
>>
>>7718763
Well the thing that stands out the most was when I was younger, I think early highschool, I had taken to walking around on the tips of my toes, my thought was strong calf mussles. After a few days of this my mom asked me why I was walking around like a girl. I played it off but then kinda observed the way I was walking and I did did have a feminine sway, this might be anecdotal but there are others many others.
>>
>>7718780
I still do that walking on my toes in private! I never even had a reason for it like you did, it just feel comfortable occasionally.

This is why sharing experiences is so great! Read other people's in /apgp/ and see how many you share.

What other anecdotes OP? Maybe answer in the thread and loads of people might say 'me too' there!
>>
>>7718693
>I do get of on the idea but I would like to also live a day, a week or month experiencing the mindset of a woman. I can visualize myself as a woman and have but reality being what it is...
Are you aroused by picturing yourself as a girl in completely mundane situations, or only in sexual ones? As I understand it, AGP is when you find the idea of being a girl to be arousing regardless of context, while "classic" trans involves having sort of a female self-image in general, in which case picturing yourself as a girl is more of a "this feels natural" than "this is hot" kind of thing.
If it sounds more like AGP then you might be able to just keep living as a guy with a fetish, though in cases where the feelings are strong enough to affect your life some people will end up taking hormones and transitioning to female.
In the case of "classic" trans feelings people almost always end up transitioning, though there are a few who are content to just start taking hormones to maintain a feminine or androgynous appearance but continue living as a guy.
Does either of those sound like your situation or no? Either way, its something that you should think carefully about before jumping to conclusions, and possibly talk to a specialist first before making any big decisions.
>>
>>7718811
I don't think saying aroused in mundane social situations is quite right. More like comfortable in thoes social situations as a girl.
I find the idea of being a femboy appealing because of its grey area. Right now mentally i fell like i am in this gray area but my physical appearance leans towards male. I guess that is to say I could maybe be comfortable as a femboy as my mind and body would be both in an Grey area... does that make sense?
>>
>>7718856
>I guess that is to say I could maybe be comfortable as a femboy as my mind and body would be both in an Grey area... does that make sense?
No reason you can't try living as a feminine guy, unless you live in a community that isn't keen on that sort of thing. If you have the right build for it you could start with just stuff like growing out your hair, working towards a more feminine physique, getting rid of body hair, etc.
Many of the femboy-types here also take hormones to look more feminine and prevent the effects of aging as a guy, though I think some of them use a slightly different type than the ones used by transgirls so they wont grow breasts and such. One of the big things about taking hormones though is that they eventually cause sterility, which would mean having to store sperm beforehand if you ever want to have children, which can be rather expensive though that may or may not be an issue for you depending on your sexuality. There's other side effects to taking hormones which are usually pretty minor, but can potentially be a big deal if you have a history of certain medical conditions so be sure to read up on it and/or talk to a specialist if you do decide to go that route.
Even if you later decide to fully transition to female you could do that too, so going for femboy mode and seeing how you feel with it might be a good starting point.
>>
>>7719015
This is also the conclusion I have come to recently. I know of the hormone your talking about, its just slipping my mind. I have been growing my hair out and been looking into hair removal but all this is a big step for me and I do live in exactly the kind of place where it would not my choices would not be received warmly :/
>>
Thanks for the great conversation all, Ill check back here and /agpg/

Would still like to find somone one, somewhere to talk to more one on one if anyone has any suggestions.
>>
>>7718780

The specific preference for walking on your toes is also an autism thing. Who knows why. And of course autism is a trans thing.

That is being trans makes it 10 times as likely that you are autistic and vice versa.

{autisimnati confirmed}

Are you autistic? If so, the likelihood that you're truagptrans increases dramatically.
>>
>>7719284
>truagptrans
what is this
>>
>>7719301

True AGP Trans
>>
>>7719306
what does the true mean here?
>>
>>7719315

Fake AGP trans is a straight cis guy. True AGP trans is a late transitioning trans lesbian or bisexual.
>>
>>7719324
if i'm bi does that mean i'm true agp trans even if i'm not autistic?
>>
>>7719333

Being trutrans is just like being in love. No one can tell you you're in love, you just know it. Through and through. Balls to bones.

But there are a lot of things that correlate with being a true agp trans. You can ask people here about what they are. Everyone's going to have a slightly slanted answer, but working through all the reports hopefully you'll get a clearer view of what a true AGP trans looks like.

In the true AGP trans people I've seen, I've notice a few notable traits. Things like (obviously) being sexually attracted to women and the idea of yourself as a woman. Also autism, a desire to be a slutty submissive catgirl, and interest in computer science / linguistics / philosophy / math.

>>7719365
>a desire to be a slutty submissive catgirl, and interest in computer science / linguistics / philosophy / math
please tell me more
>>
>>7719284
No, i got the idea from thoes dumb shoes, i worked in a resturant at the time and things were boring so I was like fuck it and just started to try do it. Its not something I have done before or since.

OP here btw
>>
>>7719365
>tfw AGP but don't want to slut around
>>
>>7719376
haha, err, incomplete thought. That episode of sienfield with the shoes that make you jump higher. These were reruns if you are wondering, im 33 currently.
>>
>>7719371

Also quiet, socially anxious, and twitchy? These are all stereotypes.
>>
>>7719377

Kinky submissive catgirl usually happens after estrogen. Though it isn't that uncommon for it to happen before. It is more uncommon for it to happen pre gender revelation.
>>
>>7719413
I'm repressing. Submissive and catgirl I'll take, but I don't want to slut.
>>
>>7719414

These aren't, like unbreakable laws of the universe, they're just things that seem to have a higher rate of occurrence for this group.

You can ask around, there are a lot of AGP trans girls who have utterly failed to be slutty catgirls.

Also, since you're new to this, you'll probably shift to thinking that repressing won't work at least once in the next 24 hours.
>>
>>7719430
>Also, since you're new to this, you'll probably shift to thinking that repressing won't work at least once in the next 24 hours.
Oh, sorry, I'm not that other new poster. I'm one of the /agpg/ ancients. The eternally closeted prude.

Apologies O Ancient and Eternal Prude.

Though it's still true that you don't have to be a slutty monster girl just because you're eating estrodiol. It's also true that estradiol + antiandrogens won't necessarily gradually and imperceptibly modify you into the type of person who wants to be really slutty. Someone who earnestly enjoys slutting herself around.

I mean stuff like that only happens like 10% of the time.
>>
>>7719489
desu if it meant I could pass I'd accept becoming a slut.
>>
OP here, no sure where this thread is going but it seems to be doing its own thing? meh, sall good. Where can a human like me go in south east PA to talk about its feelings?
>>
>>7718578
There is no such thing as a safe space.
>>
>>7719959
not in the cliche way but i guess i was using that statement as much. I guess just searching for some guidance a little more real then all this. This is the first time I have opened myself up to these feelings and I very much appericate the feed back I have been getting, ya know?
>>
>>7719876
Go to Mount Zion lol. If you live in Harrisburg or Lancaster, this support group is close to both. Here's the website:

http://www.renaissancesep.org/YORK_ROSE_Chapter_Home_Page.html

If you live in Philadelphia, there's this:

https://www.mazzonicenter.org/events/evolutions-transgender-support-group

At least that's what I got from looking on google. I don't live there.

Have fun and be yourself Anon.

what does this mean

Can you define the difference between AGP and the other types of trans then? And what do the femboys at >>>/lgbt/femgen count as?
