Go search for britney spears on the loveisover.me archives. There are a couple posts a day. This kind of thing is huge, but it is very passive and in the closet right now because of the political circumstances that are part of this generation. Most people are very sullen and reclusive and fearful because we live in a political warzone. Back in the late 90s and early 2000s you could practically wear britney spears or celine dion shirts and be a normal gay dude. You could be alot more camp. You can still do that now if you know what youre doing and how your relations with other people work. I personally do it as a form of support and to piss of people in a good manner and its basically the message behind that mariah carey song cant take that away. Its a form of support. Its no different from the reason why people do any of the other things they do.

Dunno. I'm not. I'm more into metal and shit like Tom Waits. Lady Gaga and the like have some good stuff but I wouldn't go so far as to call myself a fan.

Yes, although the level of obsession some American gays have over them is frightening. I see it more as a guilty pleasure than anything else.
