Are non binary people part of the trans community since they don't identify as the gender they were born as?
I would absolutely accept them in to the LGBT community, non-binary is a perfect example of something that wouldn't be accepted by the general public and fits under the LGBT(+) umbrella.
I'd love the opportunity to help NB's find a place in the trans community if only they existed

>gender they were born as
when will this meme die?
gender assigned at birth literally just means a doctor, based on the physical experience of genitalia, designates "male" or "female" and that has absolutely fuck-all with what that person's actual life experience and preferences will end up being. Oh, this one's got a penis, guess it's gonna wanna play football and drive a pickup truck because it's a 'boy'. Oh, this one's got a vulva, that means it's gonna be wear makeup and have a garden because it's a 'girl'.
This is what people are talking about when they say gender is a social construct. Just...let it end. Let it go. Sex=/=gender.

Non-binaries are kinda like trannies but they're their own thing.

NB is in many cases just a different way of saying "gender nonconforming". Sometimes it's a legit trans thing (I know I experience both AAP and AGP, though it's difficult to explain), but just like not all trans folks are NB not all NB are trans.
I think NB folks are welcome, regardless of if they're trans or not. They are in many cases victims of the same system as binary trans folks are.
