I think the issue with larger MtF ribcage size isn't a larger band measurement (though that certainly happens), it's that a rib cage that's gone through male puberty has a more gradual slope, so it adds inches to the bust measurement in the ribcage. So using the sizing method for cis women provides a larger cup size than suited to the amount of breast volume a trans woman would have.

As an example, suppose you had a cis woman and an MtF each with a band measurement of 30" and a measurement of 38" around the bust. Allegedly they would both fit in a 30FF (UK sizing) bra. Now imagine you could cut off both their breasts and measure the baseline ribcage circumference where you would normally measure the bust size. The cis woman has 31" and the trans woman 32." While the cis woman has her 30FF bra fit on her perfectly, her trans friend might find the cups are too big for her.

It's kind of shocking that you say your shoulders are so wide and that you're tall as an FtM because you starved yourself. I thought that starvation prevented growth. As an MtF back in middle school, I considered, not with great seriousness, two things I could have done that might have prevented my male development. The first was starvation. I thought it would leave me kind of small, yet here you are. But I didn't like the idea of rarely eating. The other, funnily enough, was becoming obese. At the time I had read an article about girls going through puberty earlier because they were getting fatter and that fat produces estrogen. I think the article used an analogy of giving a little starting push to a boulder on a hill. So I thought, if obesity causes early puberty in girls because of higher estrogen levels, then it should cause a delayed puberty in me for the same reason. I couldn't do that though because I had already been put on simvastatin because as my doctor put it, "With your cholesterol levels, you should have already had a heart attack." So weight gain was a bad idea. I also didn't like the idea of being a fat fuck. Looking at my brother, it looks like the obesity plan would have worked though, since I started puberty (beard growth, voice deepening, etc.) at 14, while my younger brother who was just barely under being considered obese had those same effects at 16.

I didn't know starvation had lasting effects on your bones like that either. Did you know about that before you starved yourself? Do you know why it affected your hair and bones? Is your hair at risk of being lost in a male pattern, or randomly?

It's probably genetics mixed with my body not producing enough estrogen to fuse the bones and halt growth. My family is made of manlets but I might have lucked out genetically speaking. And yes, obesity and anorexia both are androgynous in their own ways. My bones are very weak due to lack of nutrients, calcium and minerals, because my diet consisted of eating cabbage all day for 8 years. I need to take supplements and i'm on a specific dietary regimen to support me through HRT. As far as hair is concerned, it's the same reason, losing it randomly because my body couldn't waste resources on useless tissue like hair. Started thinning first, then out in clumps, receding at the temples pretty badly, I have no idea if it's going to grow back. If i end up chemotherapy-tier bald, I'll get a swiss lace wig or something because I look like I ran out of auschwitz.
